Norm from small animal delivery was set to pick up two beagle puppies for me back on August 1st 2012.  He was unable to do the delivery so he had a helper named Mike pick up my puppies, after having the run around for several days I should have went with my gut feeling and not shipped them, however i needed to get these two pups to Mississippi and the buyer had already paid.

Finally Sunday morning at 6:30a.m the 5th of August the puppies were picked up happy and healthy.  I wss contacted due to one of the puppies getting sick from the ride and had told Mike to purchase some gatorade for the puppy to try to get him to drink and keep from dehydrating.  I was told he would do this to help the puppy.  After a couple days the puppies were still not delivered.  Now being Tuesday August 7th I get a call that the puppy who had been getting sick is in a Vet Hospital in Florida.  Mike had taken the puppy in which was a good thing however he had not notifyed us prior to doing so.  He signed the puppy in and gave the vets office the go ahead to treat this puppy for whatever may be wrong.  I was told this puppy had water and food on a full time basis and that he just kept getting sick.  The tests came back negative for parvo and parasites which is what they had tested for.  Mike then leaves the puppy in Florida at the vets and calls me and tells me I need to contact them.

I ask him about the second puppy and how he is doing, he says that oh he is fine no problems with him, so he is to continue to deliver the second puppy.  Here it is now August 18th and the puppy was never delivered to mississippi.  I call Norm to ask about all of this and how we are to get our puppy back from Florida and who is covering the vet expenses.  He tells me that it is my problem to pay the vets and he is unable to get our puppy back from Florida.  I also inform him that now after all of this with the one puppy the buyer now does not want the second so he is to return him to me.  Norm was to be on his way back to me with the second puppy and I come to find out the puppy sits in Houston Texas.  Now these two pups were to be going to mississippi not Florida.  How they ended up in Jupiter Florida and then Houston Texas is beyond me.

Norm will not return my calls nor help pay for any of the vet bills that he is to be insured with.  I also am out two puppies and have no idea what really happened to my second beagle puppy.  If there is anyway for anyone to help me I would greatly appreciate it.  The vets in Florida are now trying to get me for abandonment and I am not the one who left the puppy there.  They still have him at this time and I am stuck.  We are out the 1200.00 for the two puppies plus a 500.00 vet bill that is still climbing due to them boarding and feeding the puppy.  I have never had so much trouble in my life and now these poor puppies have been through heck.

Smallanimaldelivery didn't pickup these pups. Smallanimaldelivery didn't take a pup to the vet in Florida. Smallanimaldelivery didn't take a pup to Texas. We couldn't do the job and set her up with another company that could. She knows this has she hired Mike to bring the Texas pup back to her before it got sold. Because i know both parties i also know the true story so here goes.

Mike picked up the pups and the one who was taken to the vet did throw up immediately so yes he was carsick. Patricia was called a day later and told the pup wasn't doing well. Here is where the story changes from what she says. She told him to get gatorade but she also told him to buy SAFEGUARD. A pup that has diarrhea doesn't need to be wormed which is what SAFEGUARD is for. However breeders use SAFEGUARD when they think that a pup has GIARDIA which is a parasite that causes a diarrhea illness which the pup had. Why did she want SAFEGUARD for a carsick pup.Is it because she has had a GIARDIA problem at her kennel? I asked her mother this question and was told YES.

The pup was taken to the vet the next day because he wasn't getting any better. Three days later the vet still couldn't figure out what was wrong but the pup was still sick. Mike had to start moving towards California and the vet would not release the pup. In the meantime she informs Mike that the other pup isn't to be delivered to Mississippi but brought back to her. She was told it would take at least 10 days because there was nobody to take the pup up north and Patricia said no problem.

Mike gets to Houston and calls me not wanting to take the other pup with him out west. I make a phone call and he leaves the pup in Houston. The person who had the pup Patricia has had in her house so she knew who was watching the pup. His daughter wanted to buy the pup but only had 300 dollars. I made a deal with her to pay her another 200 out of my pocket but was waiting on the money from the daughter. Three days later an impatient Patricia is posting here and on her facebook page blaming me for what has happened and i had no say in anything.

Patricia hired Mikes company to bring the pup back to her but sells the pup for 300 dollars to the daughter instead.

The bottom line

Smallanimaldelivery wasn't getting any money for this job.

Smallanimaldelivery never had these pups in their possession at anytime.

Why did she tell Mike to buy SAFEGUARD? Had she been treating this pup for GIARDIA before?

The pup was sick that was taken to the vet. A delivery companies job is to get the pups to the new owners safely. Mike can't be blamed for taking the pup to a vet. The illness was not caused during the transport the vet will attest to that.

She never got the pup back from Florida but i don't see where she posted a ripoff report on them for stealing her pup.

We are owed an apology from Patricia for this posting. We did nothing wrong.
