Smart Credit Management Group SCMG Stole money sent for distribution to creditors Roswell Georgia
I paid my debt through SCMG from 2004 to Aug 2006. Payments were made monthly per our agreement.
I have documentation of 3 payments that were sent to SCMG between July and August 2006. I have statements from SCMG showing they received the money. My creditors did not receive these payments. SCMG has taken the $2580.00 I sent them and kept it. They also have a deposit of $860.00. This makes $3440.00 of my money they have kept. I filed a report with the BBB in Nov 2006 and the Governor's office of consumer affairs in Dec of 2006. I have not received any further info. One of my creditors refuses to renegotiate with the new credit counseling agency that assumed (I had no choice)my account in Sept 2006, therefore the account is going to collections, constant phone calls and bad credit reports. I have to believe that this is consumer fraud that many others have experienced. This non-profit certainly made a profit off of me!
