SMC, Specialty Merchandise Corp ripoff big promises zero profits Chatsworth California
I joined based on the merchandise and low cost to join-about $375. They only show you a few products, so You don't know. Before joining I had no idea there are a million other websites selling the same stuff.
I spent $1800 on a website, and another $1000 advertising locally with absolutely no orders. It's a joke and a very bad one. If not online, you have to purchase catalogs which are not cheap. I have not made a dime from my website.
While they probably haven't done anything illegal, they promise that you can sell and make good profits. I had zero balance on my credit card, and now over $5000 because I listened to this company. Not to mention countless hours of wasted time and energy working on the website, adding items, trying to work with search engine optimization-another thing they will not do for you. They charge another $300 for search engine submittal, but good luck ever seeing your page among millions of others.
They get you 'sucked in' one step at a time, while you are blind to the facts. A very bad deal.
