March 9th 2006 letter sent to SMC: I am deeply troubled by the $19.95 charge on my account for the Gift Card Web site. When we signed up for SMC we didn't realize that we would be feeling like we were ripped off. I am requesting that you please cancel the web site and that you would refund our money. When we signed up for SMC we had a coach named Martha Mena. She wasn't our coach very long before she was no longer with SMC. We got very little coaching but we did get a shrewd coach (Martha Mena) that lied to us and told us that if we paid $1077.51 that we would receive a FREE gift card web site and $900.00 in Gift certificates. She assured us that we would be out no money because we would have $300.00 of the money in our account and that we would get the gift cards and the free web site. She also told us that we would get samples of complementary products that were in the Best Seller Starter Kit. This was valued retail $170.50 and white price value of $58.35. I am a college educated person that asked her (Marth Mena) many questions and she assured us that this was the best deal for us and that she was going to help us to be successful. Soon after we paid the $1,077.51 was taken out of our account 4 days later my credit card was stopped because someone was buying online with my credit card. My husband bought some products with the money Martha Mena said would be put in our account from the money we paid forward. This ended up not being the case as this is the money for the $900.00 gift certificates. I suggest you investigate Martha Mena and her possible connection with my credit card being used online for purchases not made by me.

Now 5 months later I get a notice from States Recovery Systems, Inc. saying no information would be reported to the credit reporting agency prior to 50 days from the date of the letter dated, 8/2/06 and that I owed $283.69 and $5.00 for using my credit card because I can't afford this payment. I paid this because SMC had already marked my credit report. I am still in the middle of fixing my report. This is stressful to an already disabled person and I seem to get sicker everytime I have to keep dealing with this company. Thank you for listening.
