On Friday December 28, 2012 I was at Applebees on 66th St having dinner with my family. Applebees parking lot is joined by another lot on the north side. I made the mistake of parking there.

When we exited dinner, my car was gone, I then noticed the Snake Eyes Towing sign hidden about 2 feet from the ground in each of the 2 entrances. I screwed up, and didn't pay attention. I then retrieved the phone 813-298-2941 from the sign and called Gandy Snake Eyes to find out where my vehicle is and how much this mistake would cost me. I was told it would cost me $160 cash to get my car back and I had 10 minutes before the price went up $100 cash. I asked for a break down and was told to "Go F@#k myself"

I quickly arranged for a ride as I did not have a extra $100 to give the snake. I drove to Gulfport 3.8 miles and it was then I waited for over 90 minutes. A gruff nasty man  finally arrived and demanded $160 cash to receive my vehicle. I asked what the wait was and if there was any discount. I was informed " I could pay the $160 cash now or take a a*s beating for wasting my time" as a woman I didn't appreciate the tone but in fear I paid up the $160. I received a handwritten PAID $160 on a Burger King napkin.

As the Pinellas County Ordinance $100 hook $3.00 per mile is the MAX you can charge not to exceed 10 miles. The first 6 hours are free of storage, and they must release your vehicle 24 hours per day with no gate fee. These crooks are 1 month old buisness with practices like these its a good thing they work for a attorney!

I have done my research on the towing laws, as well as this so called Investment Firm. Good luck. Stay away from the Snakes.

To the employee of "Snake Eyes Towing and Recovery",

Tell me, where have you guys aquired your rates? I have pictures of your rate sign on your gate and it seems that you guys took it into your own hands and made up new rates. County statue clearly states what your rates are mandated at and you guys obviously think your above it. I hope Greg Andrews comes down with the iron fist and makes you refund all tows for your complete disreguard for the law.

To anyone that has been towed by these incompitent fools,

If you have been towed and overcharged consider yourself lucky, you might get your money back. File a formal complaint with The Pinellas County Department of Justice and Consumer Services, 727-464-7200. You can also do it online www.pinellascounty.org . Follow the directions to the proper section. Also, pay attention to where you park. If you don't want to be taken advantage of, don't park on someone elses private property. I know the property and its quite obvious that it isn't Applebees property. Pay attention and don't be stupid.

Goodluck

The first statement you made was you made a mistake, and that you saw the signs. Second, you post pictures and call names but do not identify yourself. I have all phone calls recorded as well as pictures of the signs. I have copies of all receipts for every impound and will gladly post on here if you would like. No one would ever threaten you or give bogus receipts. I have all drivers license numbers, report times with the operators name at police dept. We are providing a service for a property owner who does not want people like you parking on his lot after hours due to trash and safety. Every call taken is given a complete break down of the rates. Your first sentence was the whole point, and your feelings were hurt so you try to trash people who are doing a service for a property owner. Maybe we can all come park in your front yard, then the snake will be your best friend. Have a nice day!

"Hidden?"

"When we exited dinner, my car was gone, I then noticed the Snake Eyes Towing sign hidden about 2 feet from the ground in each of the 2 entrances."

Why would they "hide" the signs if they wanted you to stay off THEIR property?

More probably, the truth is, you thought you could get away with it like you had before on other peoples property. Sounds like you got an expensive lesson.
