Dealt with this company and it's various locations many times. This poster simply does not understand the computer industry. A store cannot be held liable for what the user does to it. If it is a hardware fault, then they will replace the part. If the issue is a pile of viruses and spyware because the user simply does not care and then yells out the ones who sold them the computer because of it, that cannot be covered by warranty. They will charge for it, any store will. The poster never indicated the issue, just that his computer is not functioning and it is their fault. Unfair.

I have been dealing with Sneakers Computers for many years. They built my first system for me when I had no idea how to turn on a system... since then I have bought several systems and even more components. I now assemble my own systems, and purchase my parts from them. I have never had any problems with their technicans or their service. Even when it has been my fault that it isnt working I have only been charged reasonable ammounts. To sum this up I find your rip off report to be totally unfounded.

Sneakers has by far the best prices in Victoria and staffs some of the most knowledgeable technicians i have ever met. Not only have I taken my business to them over numerous other stores in town, but I have gone in without buying a thing to ask questions about very obscure levels of Linux and Unix based systems as well as PC concerns. They have consistently been there to help me. I would recommend Sneakers to anyone looking for help at ANY level of computing.

I found this site by viewing a search on another store, Gizmos Computers, which had this exact same word-for-word complaint written by pETER SPRINGFIELD, District of Columbia. So if this Peter lives in DC why would he be shopping in a store in Canada anyhow? And how many stores has he posted the exact same report to? I have been to Sneakers Computers several times.(and I live here) and they have always been helpful, even spending an hour or so with a network card problem on my computer - without charging me a dime! I think this site should do a little bit of homework in checking out postings by bored little kids who have nothing else to do but spam all the legitimate businesses. They obviously do not even know that District of Columbia is nowhere near British Columbia.

They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report: Their email: [email protected] Their name: Rob Anderson Their relationship to the company: Devotee Rebuttal: I have dealt with Sneakers for a long time and have never had any problems with them. I had a defective network card and they replaced it without even testing it. I support them 100%. I agree they weren't the best when they first started, but now that they have won awards I don't see where this accusation is coming from. If you read your warranty they do not support certain software programs if they are installed.
