I conduct almost 80% of my shopping online. I have vast experience with dealing with internet companies from the large providers to the very small niche providers. My interaction with softballsubs.com has been the absolute worse experience I have had to date.
PLEASE do NOT purchase from this website. I suspect they will be gone soon and will most likely appear under different branding.
After I submitted my credit card payment for a new softball Bat for my daughter, I noticed my credit card was charged right away. Thinking this was good that we would get the bat in time for the season. When I had not heard any thing for awhile I emailed customer service. I got back a very poorly written email that was my first sign that this company was not legit and English was not their first language.
They indicated the shipping was going to take 3 weeks. I told them to cancel my order. I then went online and cancalled my order. I got an email indicating that I would need to pay fees. I looked on the website uNader the cancelation policy and did not see anything about fees. They indicated I had to pay through western union. I do not use western union and told the to debit my credit card and send back the remaining amount.
All I have gotten since then is cryptic emails that tell me to "wait 10 to 15 days".
I am am posting this story everywhere I can as I do not want other people to lose money and go through this frustration.

You do know you can put that item into contest with the card issuer, right? They probably wanted you to use Western Union as a way of getting around that option for you!
