Software-HQ UNABLE TO PROVIDE SERVICE ADVERTISED Internet
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!
I joined Software-HQ with the intent of downloading a Photoshop program. I paid the membership fee because there were other potential programs I was interested in downloading, and the concept advertised of "one stop shopping" was appealing.
When I tried to download the Photoshop program, I repeatedly got an error message, and was unable to complete the download. I wrote to the customer support team, and recieved a non-personalized "dear customer" note indicating that I should go to the Adobe website to purchase the program for download. This was signed generically "Software-HQ Support".
I did purchase and down the program from Adobe, and had no problem.
Unfortunately, when I recontacted Software-HQ indicating that I thought it was not acceptable to simply refer me to the originating company for the software, and that I did not feel comfortable attempting any further downloads, and would like a refund of the membership fee, I was told, again in a generic e-mail, that I am a member until 2013, and that the fee is non-refundable.
I again contacted them indicating that the service was not able to provide the ease of "one stop shopping" that was advertised, and that the fee should be refunded because it was a misrepresentation, I simply received another generic e-mail stating the same information as above.
This is VERY poor customer service, and impersonal to boot!!
