My mother was looking for Nero 9 and downloaded from this ad on CNET: http://nero.burning-9.com/?s=goca&a=nero&gclid=CO3W_5-RmZkCFRwDagod1C0fag. If she had of asked me first, I would have told her no, but she didn't and she gave this company her credit card information for a download of Nero. She didn't receive any way to download it.
When I called the company's 1-800 No. to background check the company and asked if they were legit because my mother didn't receive any email to download as was indicated. They said there was nothing they could do and they couldn't help me. Which is odd... isn't it? When asked if they were legit - they simply said that the site was secure for credit cards.
So my mom called to the company to get a refund on the purchase. Only was told to call another # but that they were closed for the day. When called, the number's message says they should still be open until 5pm EST and it was 4pm EST. But there was no answer - only the message. I truly believe that my mother will be out the $50 US plus she is going to have to cancel her credit card. This is just way too sketchy to be believed. And now, no one from that original customer service line will take our calls or provide any assitance.
