I purchased Microsoft Office 2016 as a download and Product Key to activate the software. Product Key said it was 3 Retail Users and unlimited downloads. I purchased a new PC and attempted to download it to the new system, after uninstalling it from my old computer and when the Product key directed me to the Microsoft Site to activate the software the product was not in the Microsoft system. I attempted to contact and find out what was wrong 3 times with no response from Software Max.

I don't really care what you say, if a company mis-represents itself and has all the official site in which it sells what is suppose to be Microsoft then it is not my problem...look at law, not your software books. It said the following, copied and pasted
Microsoft Office 2016 Professional Plus (PC Download)
In stock
SKU:MS-269-16807 Quick overview:
100% genuine License, permanent for 1 PC -Available for download Immediately
Direct Download From Microsoft.
Now, what were you saying about official....I don't know but it is definitely saying it is official in some capacity...so please don't respond unless you have researched the business and site.

I'm not sure it is.
Also, it shows that you don't know very much about computer. If you know, you would never give the product key whether it is a full key or not. If it is a full version (which I doubt because it should be longer), then you are screwed because others can steal it. If it is not, then it is useless because it cannot be used to verify the product you bought.
However, if I remember correctly about how Microsoft software works, you cannot register more than the number of your license. If you have registered your computer to a license, then it is permanent. You cannot uninstall from one computer and then attempt to re-register on another computer.
You may need to contact Microsoft directly about this issue and hope that they can help you. However, I don't want to give you hope because the chance of success is slim.
