worked as an agent for Somerset Logistics (Mike Smith) for 4 years , started out great about a year into my job Somerset Logistics started deductions of all kinds customer payments not in with an allotted time so they would take more than there 30% commission they always ended up at 50%. and would never show any dates payments were received Somerset Logistics (Mike Smith) and his office employee's signed a contract to not back solicit customers that I brought on when I signed up with them. To make a long story short that after 4 years they were making more of my money than I was all on the up and up there place is built on integrity, Mike Smith has his business built on that so call lie. after allot of the agents are there for awhile they fire them for what ever reason and then the trouble begins for you trying to keep your customers happy because they have all your information , customers contact and I have proof they were already working my customers before they ever let me go. They kept my last two pay checks completely . now if this is not bad enough feeling like there is nothing you can do against a rip off place of employment like this it makes me sick to keep reading how there built on integrity, honesty and professionalism. i have also contacted other agents that have worked for this company and had the same thing happen to them. one girl got it a week before me and one girl got let go the same day she is a single mother with a child owes Somerset Logistics (Mike Smith) not one thing and they still have not paid her her moneys owed. It takes a while to get reestablished and she could not even get help fast enough she had to go to her parents for help to get by while fighting off Somerset Logistics (Mike Smith) to try to save her customers. Greedy deceitful place so anyone who is looking to move to a new freight broker do not go to Somerset logistics. I will update if they ever pay the people who were working for them they ripped off.
