I bought 360sq feet of handscraped bamboo flooring from Soni Interiors/ The Rug King in March of 2013. The sale was easy and the floor arrived very quickly; although the customer service was not good, I asked for a tracking number numerous times and never got it. When the flooring arrived, we checked each of the 16 boxes and they were all marked "walnut", which is the color we ordered. Now, I ordered this floor in March because we were doing a complete, down to the studs remodel and I knew that it was going to be a few months before I would be ready for the flooring because I was doing all the work myself. On August 3rd, 2013, I started laying my floor. I got 3 boxes layed and then went to finish up on the 4th. I opened a box and it was "red" bamboo. I then continued to open boxes and 11 of the 16 boxes had "red" bamboo in them, although the boxe were marked "walnut". I emailed and called Soni Interiors with no response. Finally on the 5th, I got a hold of "Liz". She had me take pictures of the mistake and email them to her. After 3 days, she finally told me that she was emailing me a return shipping label and I would need to send it back and THEN they would send me the correct flooring. I immediately set up a pick up date with UPS Freight and they took the flooring on Friday, August 9th. Liz said that the day they received my flooring, she would send out my flooring with the truck. On Thursday, August 15th, I had not heard from Soni Interiors so I called. I spoke to "Paula" who stated that they had not received the flooring yet. I then called UPS who said that they dropped the flooring on Tuesday, August 13th and also had a signature confirmation. When I called Paula back, she stated that she was mistaken (which is a very common phrase they use) and she was going to look into the situation and call me back. First of all, if they say they are going to do something...anything, they DONT!!! This includes calling you back. They NEVER called me back and todate, I have 63 phone calls to them and no one returned!!! So I call and speak with Dan Bugess (unknown how to spell his last name). Dan tells me that they don't think they have this flooring anymore and have to check their containers. I don't hear anything from them on the 15th, and finally on Friday the 16th, I call and they still have no answers. I speak to Dan again and he says that he will call me on Saturday and he will personally look for the flooring himself. Dan was a man of his word and called me Saturday the 17th, telling me he found 11 boxes of "walnut" and it will ship first thing Monday (19th). I wait until Monday and call to speak with Dan but get Paula. Paula stated that the flooring shipped but they had no tracking number yet. Paula stated that she would email it to me but never did. On Tuesday the 20th, I call and speak with "Andrew" (total moron) who said that the flooring did not ship because of paperwork issues. At this point, I explode and definitely made my point. Andrew proceeds to tell me that I am not the only person they deal with and I need to be more understanding. He also tells me that I've created enough problems for them and they will get to me when they get to me!! This is after lie after lie, no calls, no answers, nothing!!! I then call and schedule my own pickup with UPS Freight on Wednesday the 21st. I was told by UPS that they would call me when they picked the flooring up; guess what? NO FLOORING WAS PICKED UP!! This was because Soni Interiors cancelled by shipment because I called UPS. I then called and spoke with "James", another moron, who proceeds to tell me that this was my fault and were not going to deal with me anymore. James stated that they were prepared to ship my flooring but because I called UPS, they were no longer responsible for shipping the flooring. So todate, I am paying, again, for shipping my flooring back to me, due to their mistake, and they refuse to refund me anything! This company has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau and they are crooks. What they don't realize is in Pennsylvania, it's a crime to commit fraudulent business practices and I'm proceeding with criminal charges against the owners. Do yourself a favor...never, ever deal with Soni Interiors/ The Rug King. They are absolutely terrible people, a terrible business and should have no right to run a business in the United States of America.
