Sonsio / Tire Rack Road Hazard Warranty Sonsio / Tire Rack Warranty is a RIP OFF Arvada Colorado
I purchased tires from Tire Rack as I have done many times in the past. I ordered a set of 4 to go on my wife's SUV and decided to get the Road Hazard protection. Yesterday, the low tire pressure indicator came on and we took the SUV into the local Midas we use so they can have a look. We were told they found two nail punctures close to the sidewall and I was told the tire is not repairable.
I contacted Tire Rack and they referred me to their Road Hazard department, which is actually a 3rd party warranty company, unbeknownst to me. I was informed of a series of hoops I would need my shop to jump through to get the claim approved and I took down the information. THEN, came the bombshell: Now let's discuss the amount you will be reimbursed - up to $18 dollars! I asked the agent, are you kidding me? I paid $46.44 for the protection at $11.61 per tire! What a scam. The real kicker is that their claim said they would pay $25 toward repairs! $25 toward repair and $18 toward replacement?? Who comes up with this garbage?
Shame on you Sonsio. Shame on you Tire Rack. If I can't get a new tire, I will certainly make sure I get my $46 dollars worth in all the people I inform to boycot your products and services in favor of companies take care of their customers.
