Complaint Review: Southern Maryland and Doctors Hospitals - Clinton, Lanham Maryland

I have had a bad experience in one hospital. Sanitation was way below par. What to do? Make a detailed report of the facts to the following: Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and to the Local County Health Department. At first I did not think anything would be done because reports on complaints are kept secret, but someone did let me know that because of my complaint the Manager for Housekeeping was fired, and the hospital placed on probation for one year. And yes they did clean up their act on keeping the hospital cleaner.

I do not doubt your comments about this particular hospital. I have found that most Hospital's are like this S. Maryland Hospital to one degree or another and I have been to at least five (5) in my area, although I have to admit, the one Hospital you mentioned does sound like a particularly bad one. I don't recall the exact statistical number per Year of the people killed and/or injured thru malpractice and sheer incompitence in
the medical profession, but I do remember that the number's were really high. I do not use western medicine for this reason. My experience has been that Doctor's use a "guess and by gosh" system anyway. And when their caught in error , they alway's lean on that old standby BS ,.. "It's Not a Perfect Sience"! I would just as soon go to a Voodoo doctor,... It would
all be the same to me, as far as the outcome and getting nothing for my time and throwing away my money, and I would spend alot less cash on a Voodoo doctor.

This person is not lying. Around here, Southern Maryland Hospital has the worst reputation on the block! Its called Southern Maryland Cat and Dog, Southern Maryland Morgue and even some less tasteful names. I was in a car accident that happened only 1/2 mile from Southern Maryland Hospital. The ambulance rushed to the scene, they strapped me down, and headed towards Southern Maryland. We were almost there, I was brushing with
death, when they finally heard my screams and took me to the local military hospital on Andrews Air Force Base.

I would NOT, Not NOT Not send my worst enemy to Southern Maryland Hospital. If you catch a guy vandalizing your car and you shoot him, don't let them take him to Southern Maryland Hospital. You'll never receive any damages at trial, because he won't live to make it to trial! Southern Maryland Hospital has
some owner named Charamonte or something like that. His name is plastered all over the hospital. He doesn't care about anything or anybody that stands in the way of his money!!! Don't be fooled by the pretty hospital, don't be fooled by the Hotel that Charamonte owns right next door called the Colony South. The man doesn't care about anyone but himself!
