Southwest Auto Tow and SW Auto Storage illegally removed by vehicle from the Triden Village Apts in Dallas. I found useful information at (((Redacted))) most particularly that their signage was not compliant with statute, which is very specific and legally required to be a legal tow, the notice provisions required by statute were not complied with including the lack of notice letters from the apt complex, or SW's statutory letter notifying you of your right to file an appeal
- they have the wrong court and wrong filing fees in it.
I filed an application for an illegal tow hearing and was awarded $3900 damages against Southwest. They are still being horses-**** and I am going to pursue additional court action against them. The guy who "handles their legal matters" only thinks he knows the law, and the company's failure to follow it as it was amended last September, clearly shows he doesn't have a clue. He responds to challenges by becoming a bully and tries to intimidate to make up for his lack of knowledge. So if you go after them, don't back down, he doesn't even know that he is clueless.
I also have a complaint against them currently under investigation by the Texas Dept of Licensing as well. Go to https://www.license.state.tx.us/Complaints/ComplaintForm.aspx?strRadiobutton=Tow%20Truck and file your complaint there too.
Good luck! and don't back down - it is time that the law be applied as the legislature intended it, rather than the way Southwest Auto chooses to apply it.

You all should know that no matter what apartment complex that you live in, it is regulated by the state that they have to have a towing company by contract. No matter which complex you live in, there is alway a chance that if you park incorrectly you vehicle will be towed. If people knew how to follow the rules and guidelines then there would be no reason for cars to be towed from apartment complexes. All it takes is common sense.

well if you would learn to park right or renew your tag on time or keep your tires inflated then you would not have this problem. ya i have a towing company and if you dont park right and park over the line they will tow you. This is not unmoral they are trying to get people like you to stop doing the stuff that you do! I dont know why you want to complain about the stuff you do to cause yourself so much trouble. so i do have contracts with lots too and this is what we do. they tell us that people are double parking and YOUR fellow residents complain so the office calls us and says hey we are having a parking problem and we go tow and if you dont learn your leason then your a idiot

Are you saying that you were parked in an unauthorized space and some apartment complex called the tow company to tow your car?
After all the adjectives, is that what happened?
You sure like the word "filthy" LOL.
