Please stay away from this bussiness! I went in to Southwest Kia on June 20, 2006 to buy a car. They had advertised that you got a year of gas free with any new car. The salesman told me that it would be $1400 and that I would get the card in about 2 weeks. Two weeks went by and they said it wasn't in yet, to give it another two weeks. This stalling went on for almost 2 months. I went in and told them that they were dragging their feet and that I wanted my gas card. The manager then told me that I didn't qualify for it because I had taken a better deal. I told him that the deal I had signed for included the gas card. He argued with me and got mad at me. He then told me that he would give me one out of "good faith", but only for $1,000. I then demanded that he get my file out so I could see it.

He brought it out, and flashed the document quickly in front of me and said, "see you aren't supposed to get one." I then told him to look on the back of the document where I had initialed it WITH the gas card. He saw my initials and never once appologized to me for being wrong. He told me then that the salesman had made a mistake and all I was getting was the $1,000 gift card. I then told him that I was going to cancel all of the extended warranties that I had signed up for ($2000 worth). This made him even angrier. From that point on, I was ignored and made to wait almost 2 hours before 2 sheets of paper were filled out. I also asked them to sign the cancelation sheets so that I had proof that they had a copy. They rudely refused to sign them.

I asked to talk to the manager. The manager then got on his cell phone and ignored me. Then he hung up after 25 min, and never once aknowledged me. He talked to two salesmen, then got on his cell phone again while he made me wait. He finally hung up and I told him to talk to me now! He took the paper and signed it, never once saying anything to me. He signed it and tossed it on the floor at me.

The service department there isn't much better. I had a peice of trim on the driver's side come off after a week of owning it. I took it in for them to order the part. 3 weeks later I called them and they said the part was in. I set up an apointment for 8 am. I got there before 7 am and waited, and waited, and waited. They finally looked at my car at 11:30 am. Then they told me that I had ordered the wrong part. I told them that they ordered the part, not me! They said, "Did we tell you the part was in?" I said yes, otherwise I would not have come in to waste my time! They said it would be another 2 weeks before the part came in.

I WILL NEVER EVER SET FOOT IN THAT DEALERSHIP AGAIN! I love my Kia Rio but I absolutely hate the way that I was treated there as a customer. I was going to get another one for my girlfriend, but now I'm going to buy another brand for her. This dealership has turned me off from buying another Kia!

Isnt this the place that just "gives it to you"? If they can afford to just give you a hyundai, why not a gas card too? maybe a $2000 shpping spree while they're at it? By the way, why on earth did you pay $2000 for an extended warranty on a Hyundai? Dont they all come with that 10 year / 100000 gimmicky warranty for free?
