Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

It began as a gag gift that I could have purchased at my local Michael's or Jo-Ann store. Ordered an embosser with the NY logo and the Dept of Health imprint. Not knowing this was "illegal," I was informed of so by this merchant. Ok, so be it. Told this merchant to delete the alleged illegal wording and send the new and improved embosser, but instead was accused of breaking the law, illegal doings(?) and supposedly he will bereporting meto Homeland Security (what?). Since I did not get the item I ordered (they make it right away without telling you it is illegal in some sort, charge you and then tell you you cannot get your money back for an item that is already made, even though you may not receive it, NICE way to make some money); I was insulted, called ignorant, basically implied that I am some sort of terrorist and that again, I am being reported to the authorities (what? again??!!). I am an avid online shopper and this has been the most distasteful online experience I have ever had, with the most unprofessional business I have EVER dealt with. Do not waste your time and money at this site, it seems that it is run by someone who probably majored in basket weaving and not business. Below is a sample of what I, as a consumer, had to deal with:

"..your ignorance is pushing the boundaries."

"...do not appreciate being scammed by you and I will do whatever it takes to see you are investigated fully by the law.

Your choice".

If you would like the full context of the exchanged emails, please let me know and I will be glad to send them to you. I am sure they are a legitimate business who do provide good customer service, but, as a one time consumer, I will not deal with this unprofessional person representing this outfit. Buyer beware. Shop at your local Michael's and save yourself some grief.

On December 14, 2010, Ms. Larcom placed an order forhighly sensitiveembosser which is only used by the State of New York for authenticating birth certificates.

The embosser was processed, manufactured andpackedfor shipment. We asked Ms. Larcom for an official P.O. from the State of NY allowing us to ship.

The Department of Homeland Securityhas directed us or any company like ours tosecure an official P.O. from the State an embosser like this is requested from.

Ms. Larcom could not produce an official P.O. Ioffered to make another embosser at our expense that has nothing to do with the State of NY butMs. Larcom declined our offer.

It is illegal to use an embosser like this for any reason unless you are an authorized employee with the State of New York Dept. of Health.

Mostpeople who order a Dept. of Health embosser are usuallyusing them to try toforge birth certificates that are then usedfor Identity theft. I do not know if that is the case withMs. Larcom but it is our experiencethat this is what they are used for.

Ms. Larcom claims that this is a "gag gift" but there is no gag in document fraud.

You cannot purchase an embosser like this at any Michael's or Jo-Ann as it is highly specialized and requires an official P.O. from the State it represents to be used.

When an order is placed on our website Ms. Larcom agreed to terms and conditions. What is posted and was agreed to is "Do not attempt documentation fraud here ! All illegal orders will be processed, charged and turned over to the proper authorities for review and action. No refunds will be issued once an order is processed."

We still offer to make Ms. Larcom another embosser at our expense as long as it has nothing to do with forging documents.

We have since turned this caseover to the Department of Homeland Security for review.

It is unfortunate that we would have to defend our excellent 64 year reputation on a forum like this.

We find it our patriotic and civic duty to defend our country and it's citizensfrom attack no matter how great or insignificant as it may seem to others.
