I purchased a 42 inch TV 1080P SpectronIQ Model#PLTV-42HW68 on 11/23/07 from HSN Home Shopping Network. After a few weeks of no item that I purchased I called HSN to find out where my new TV was at and I was told that the Item was shipped. I waited a few more weeks and no TV and called back HSN and was told that they were out of stock and the item would ship directly from the vendor.

Well the TV finally showed up the middle of January two month after I ordered the item for a Christmas present for my wife.Upon opening the box I noticed that the bag with the remote control and paper work had already been opened and written on and then taped up with scotch tape. Upon further examination I noticed that the serial number on the factory label had been altered and new numbers placed over the original serial label.

I called SpectronIQ and let them know that this was a used TV and I wanted a new one. I was told that I would have to pay to send the TV back and they assured me that the TV was new, I could tell it was not. After just 4 months the TV stop turning on and I called SpectronIQ an was issued a RMA and was told that I need to pay for shipping and the cost of a shipping box. I expressed my displeasure with this but was stuck since I had already paid and they had no in home service for the 42 inch only on 43 inch and above.

So after $108 dollars for shipping and $30 dollars for the shipping box not to mention the $1200 I spent on the TV. I still have not seen a replacement or repaired TV as of7/24/08. Yes that is over 2 months with no TV. I have made several calls to SpectronIQ with no good answers but we are out of stock and wait another 3-4 weeks.

What a horrible company and SHAME on HSN for not checking out there vendors for stock on hand as well as company complaints on product. I would very much welcome a lawsuit against this company if any others have problems as I have seen. I have since had to purchase another TV, NAME BRAND this time and don't know if I will ever see the SpectronIQ TV again.

HSN will not support the vendors and products that they pedal on there TV program, but I bet they still get there kick backs from the vendors. I have learned that I will never see my TV and I will have to file a claim with SpectronIQ since they are in bankruptcy and I will probably never see a dime.Buyers do not buy any products from these companies HSN/SPECTRONIQ/VISCOM/PROTRON or you will buy as is no support. The new digital ERA! ya give me your card number and let me rip you off.
