Nate, I am well aware of what the Sprint employee really meant. Whether he meant "in" the shower or in the shower "area" it is stil a moronic comment. Maybe if I was a sixteen year old girl would I take the phone everywhere I went, including the shower, but get real, how many people do you know that are so possesed with talking on the phone actually take it in the "shower" with them?

I believe the Sprint employee did not clarify what he meant by taking the phone into the shower. I am sure he meant to ask you if you had left your phone in the same bathroom while you were taking a shower where it would be very humid. As far as the "deal" on your phone I am actually pretty impressed that they weren't going to charge you full price. They would have lost money in an effort to keep you satisfied.

Being originally from your area myself (my family is still in Newnan and Sharpsburg), I know that you don't have to travel to Savannah or anywhere else to experience humidity,as most of Georgia can be horribly humid in the summer. Not only is T-Mobile better as far as service/price, but even if they don't have a phone you really like, you can get unlocked phones, insert their SIM cord and you're in business, which is not an option with Sprint or Verizon. I bought a Sony Ericsson S700i and I love it. I love T-Mobile's service, but don't care for their phones, so this was the way to go for me. With questions like "Do you take your phone with you into the shower?", you can tell that one doesn't have to be very bright to work for Sprint. And silly, unreasonable you...how dare you not accept their generous offer to pay $50 more for their $1.98 phone and extend your contract for their crappy service! Almost as bright as when they offered my husband (then-fiance) 1000 free minutes per month not to cancel his service, never mind that the reason he cancelled was because he couldn't use the minutes he paid for because of no signal most of the time. Whatever service you go with, please don't take your phone into the shower with you and please don't go swimming with it, okay? ;-)
