Sprint ripoff overcharged me and blamed it on taxes. Now they won't cancel my account How can a company be allowed to operate like this? Cincinnati Ohio
Sprint continued to increase my bills. When asked they advised it was due to taxes. They also charged me an additional .50 a minute for calls that I made that were supposed to be within my basic plan for 39.95 a month.
The plan allowed me approximately 360 anytime minutes and I did not exceed those minutes. The plan also included 4000 minutes for calls made after 9:00 pm and on weekends.
They charged that time as additional minutes applied to my anytime minutes. When asked to explain this they would not. They would only say, and I quote, "You were only charged for the calls you made."
I attempted to go over the billing with them but it was futile. I finally cancelled my account, or so I thought, but I continue to get monthly bills from them. They refuse to cancel it! A coworker of mine is having the same problem with them.
I did not sign any contract stating that I would use their service for any amount of time. I have spent hours on the phone with them trying to get the problem resolved but they only want to know when I will pay the bill and refuse to discuss anything else.
They have caused me additional stress that I do not need, not to mention costing me valuable time and additional money (I have to use my current cell phone minutes as they keep me on hold and transfer me from person to person.) How can a company be allowed to operate like this?
