Stagecoach Mobile Home Park RV Horizons Fraud, Liars, Threatening, ripoff Pueblo Colorado
We purchased this mobile home in Feb from the park's corporate office. I had been in contact with Tammy who, when we made an offer on the trailer, said several other parties were interested in renting it, because it was rent ready, but if we made a cash offer, we could purchase it. She pressured us hard to purchase, and even though we had another trailer we wanted more, we wanted to secure a safe place to live prior to moving to Pueblo, so we agreed.
In May, after dealing with trying to get the title and keys, having Tammy avoid us, and then being promised that the manager would keep an eye on the place, we arrived.
The house was not as all as promised. There was no thermostat. There was a huge hole in the ceiling where we had been told that a swamp cooler was removed, and the bathroom was completely unusable. And the water didn't turn on. We tried to contact the manager, but no one answered the door or the phone. We look under the home, and water was gushing all over the place. It took almost 2 days for the manager to make time to correct our water.
The manager then had a handyman, who apparently was a meth head, attempt to do some repairs, but completely screwed up the plumbing. Despite many requests for them to repair their crappy work, they did not respond, so I emailed the corporate office to complain. This caused the manager to threaten us with no cause eviction, and to sign a paper in order to get their mistake fixed. However, they did such a horrible job that from that day forward, we have had our pipes back up. We brought this to their attention, only to have them say they would only fix it if we paid them 200 in cash. We paid the handyman, but a few days later, he left town...and we get screwed again.
This place has been a nightmare. And the manager does nothing. Submit a repair request, get ignored. I paid one month a week early, and came home from work to see a notice to quit on the door. I had to email my bank statement to her to prove it was paid early, and she never apologized.
We have also followed all the rules of the park, yet everyone else does not. And no one seems to care. Kids have shot out all the streetlights, we actually caught them in the act, told management...nothing happens. Broken glass everywhere... Only reason I have waited so long to file is because we are finally moving out of this dump. Even if I sign this trailer over to the park, I refuse to pay these people anything more.
One other thing...water is metered here...so how am I being charged when my meter has never worked?
