Stagg Restaurants, LLC dba McDonalds, Hugo, Toni Brown, Ned and Fabi.

Be careful with any McDonalds store that is owned and operated by Stagg Restaurants, LLC DBA McDonalds, with a principal place of business located at 15715 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX 78232.

HEALTH ISSUES

It has been reported that roaches can be found near the soda machine, the condiments, the fries, upfront where the food is packaged, and under certain equipment.  Dead bugs and flies can be found on the breakroom table.

An employee of the establishment confirmed that he saw roaches on some napkins.  When he tried to throw the napkins away, he was approached and confronted by a manager who advised him that throwing away napkins was wasteful, despite him explaining that there had been roaches on the napkins.

My girlfriend who also worked at this location confirmed to me that a customer had returned to the store because he found a roach inside of his soft drink!

My girlfriend also confirmed to me that there was a ton of mold growing behind the machine that makes smoothies and shakes.  My girlfriend was asked to clean up the mold and when she asked for a mask (prior to covid19), they told her she didn’t need a mask, despite feeling nauseous.

Here is a direct statement from my girlfriend:

"Management told me to grab something I could use to scoop the mold down the drain that was behind the machine. After removing a good portion of the mold, I was then asked if I would be willing to put gloves on and pick up the mold with my hand and throw it into the drain.”

ETHICAL ISSUES

The General Manager, Hugo, who seems to have a “thing” for girls (in my opinion) advised my girlfriend that she could wear other jeans to work instead of the company-issued jeans, since they had an uncomfortable fitting. The store supervisor, Toni Brown, who is ranked above Hugo, advised my girlfriend that she is out of dress code and received a write up, despite explaining to Toni, that Hugo, her direct manager, approved her to wear other jeans.  The correct way for this matter to be handled was for Toni to have a word with the General Manager, asking the GM why he is allowing an employee to be out of dresscode.

DISCLAIMERS:

- My girlfriend wanted nothing to do with this report, but I advised her that this is a serious health issue that should be documented and reported to the Health Department.

- When my girlfriend is treated unfairly or taken advantage of, I am not ok with it, and I will make the TRUTH and FACTS known.
