Our House By "Stallings Homes

Our modular house, which we ordered from R-Anell Homes (the manufacturer) on February 2, 2011 and (the contract was signed with Stallings Homes of Kannapolis, NC), was built and finished (by R-Anell Homes) on March 14, 2011 and was finally set on July 28, 2011 by Stallings Homes, just days before our own hired crew (we had given up on them doing it) was to set it on August 1, 2011. It was then worked on, after setting it, for two weeks, until August 12, 2011. There has been no more work activity, since then, done on our house. Our house has not had it's set up finished, the vinyl siding is not done, it is not trimmed inside nor outside, the front porch (that we did not order) has not been removed and that area of the roof shingled, even though it is leaking where it is attached at, and is molding in one of the rooms and also in the foyer that it is over.

That front porch was canceled by us, before placing the order, but Stallings left it on, saying that they would remove it immediately upon setting it and that they would also pay us back (we paid R-Anell for it). They have done neither. We also had mold in one of our other rooms (found on July 28, 2011 when it was crane set) due to it sitting since being finished on March 14, 2011 (the plastic covering had deteriorated) before being set by Stallings on July 28, 2011. Since our exterior doors also have not been permanently set, the rain comes in there also and the water pools up on either side of the door and the molding and sheet rock has absorbed it and needs to be replaced.

We have paid Stallings Homes money to set and trim our house and also extra money that is over and above that for services also not rendered. Besides paying them for the setup and the trim out, we also paid them to finish the upstairs, for a dumpster, a potty, and to work on our porches and garage. We also paid them a "management" fee (LOL) to handle for us all of the building of our home and the extras that we desired. Now, we do not have enough money left to pay another contractor to finish our home. The contract deadline for it all to have been finished was June 1, 2011.

Stallings has not responded to any communications from either us or various agencies. Stallings Homes are not NC licensed contractors. Their license expired and was set to be renewed on January 1, 2008. In July, 2011, their Stallings Homes, Inc. corporation (under Marvin Stallings) was dissolved by the Department of Revenue and their new name is Stallings System Built Housing, LLC (under Helen Brooks Stallings).

I have been involved in many dealings with the manufacturing field of the homes your speaking about.  My #1 source is the Manufacturing Board in the state in which you live.  There located in the state capital under  (example) Pennsylvania Manufacturing Housing Board.  Call, tell them your problem, they will set up an appointment to come to your home, also they will call whoever is involved, (manufacture of product), someone from the plant that made your home.  Once everyone arrives, the manu. board will walk thru the home and make all kind of notions.  Manu. Housing Board will give the Manu. a list of things that must be completed within whatever time he indicates.  Hope this will help, work fast and call under the warranty time.     e-mail me and let me know.  Con
