Stan Nesheim, Spotless Yacht Care Takes payment, does no work, incometent, abandons job after payment Newport Beach California
Ripoff does not have a catagory for "Boat Repair", so Stan is being put under "Marina". He's not a marina but claims to offer boat maintenece services. Stan Nesheim collected $1500 from me to perform repairs on my boat in Newport Beach. After promising to do engine work on the small Diesel (this was a auctioned boat sold with a "non-working" engine that I later was able to run with little work myself) it was immediately apparent he had no knowlege of mechanics as was even dangerous to the machinery. He did do some fair carpentry making some wood planks for the door and did help me move the 30' sailboat across the harbor but never finished the carpentry, botched the engine work I later completed myself, and failed to deliver on carpentry work he agreed to do after being found incompetant with the mechanics. He claims to have bought parts for the boat, none of which I ever saw and never produced an accounting of where my down payment for the alleged work ended up. The tow was probably worth $100 to $200 and less for a few cut semi-finished planks of wood. I offered that he refund the unspent $ or he consume the remainder in carpentry work on my other boat. He elected the latter but never showed up to do the work, does not return my calls, and the usual, and even tried to evade contact in the harbor with a local friend who has taken over boat care for me while I travel. I really did try to keep this as friendly as possible and tried to help him. I got a $1300 lesson in non-performing repairmen, hopefully I can help the reader avoid similar expensive lessons.

Call to discuss? We've had this conversation. At least we did until you stopped answering my calls and started hiding. You have had innumerable opportunities to make this right and you just make promises and hide. Shall we go over this in detail in public?
