This is totally untrue. Starlogic has NEVER EVER accepted paypal as a form of payment EVER. They are a division of IPOWERWEB i worked for IPOWER in Dec of 2007 when this report was filed. This is total bullshit, because i know for a fact that they never accepted paypal. EVER

Well, I feel your pain. As a former employee, I never agreed with many of their policies when it came to dealing with customer complaints about reliability, refunds etc.... I worked for them back in 2005-2006 and they weren't as bad as they are now. Here's some info on what's going on these days..... Endurance purchased iPower Web, Startlogic and Dot5 from Thomas Gorney; all three "companies" were in the same building just in different areas of the building. We were never given a straight answer as to why the companies were all split except that it was to spread business around pretty much. From what I hear now, they have hired about 50 temps to answer all the incoming calls. These temps know NOTHING about web hosting, most likely were not provided with much training (as usual), and you sit on hold waiting to talk to someone for almost an hour and you are told by the temps to submit a ticket. I tried submitting a ticket a few days ago and the system wouldn't allow it to be put through so I had to just send them an email. Back on Dec 10, 2007 our local Channel 3 had their "3 On Your Side" do a story regarding a complaint that a valley man had with Startlogic. You can view that here: http://www.azfamily.com/news/3oys/stories/KTVK3OYS20071210_web-site-Startlogic.2b9cd5d.html The man, Vivek Ansal, states he paid Startlogic around $47,000 for hosting and web design. Startlogic has yet to launch the completed site over a year later. I remember seeing some of the work done by the web design company Startlogic was doing business with and to be honest, I couldn't believe the outrageous prices the clients were being charged. I saw a client pay well over $1000 for a site that looked like it was designed by a three year old. Anyones best bet is to get the hell out now. I still have two hosting accounts with them; one on a shared server and I have about 8 sites that I host on a VPS. They stand behind their motto with the VPS and dedicated servers which is "We don't do s**t". Unfortunately that's not always the right answer and I will be changing hosting companies as soon as my contract with them is over. If they have your credit card on file, they WILL renew your account despite the fact that you are never informed of their doing so. If they have your information I would contact your bank, get a new card number and be done with them.
