Stephen West - New England Classic Builders took our money did horrible work and didn't finishing the job Wayne New Jersey
Stephen West's contract required us to pay him most of the money towards the beginning of the job. At first things appeared to be fine, but then about halfway through, and after he got nearly all our money, we found out he was not paying his subcontractors. Since they weren't getting paid, none of them would come back to finish the work they had started. When the subcontractors wouldn't come back, Steve tried to do the work himself and did such a bad job that our home repeatedly failed inspections. Then he started lying to us about when he would show up and then stopped showing up at all, telling us he'd completed 99% of the work. The job was supposed to take 6 months, we tried to work with Stephen West for one and a half years to finish it, and we ultimately ended up being displaced from our home for nearly 2yrs. Now we've hired someone else to do the job and we're taking Stephen West and New England Classic Builders to court to try to get our money back. I'm not sure if Steve West is still operating his company or working under some other name, but beware of this guy!!
