Complaint Review: Sterling Investment - Mesa Arizona

Where is Ryan Patterson today?  How about you Terence Burner?  I'm not even going to bother with Luke Vennard.  A relative?  Seriously??

Though "agreements" contain verbage quoting SEC regulations this company is not registered, nor licensed, with the SEC. 

Doing business with this company will put your financial security at risk. 

Promises of high interest rate returns, well above historical average return rates, are unfounded in the financial institution.

Long term agreements are written with surrender terms of 10 years or more for the elderly are also written by this company, which is a direct SEC regulation violation. 

Agreements are written without escape clauses.

Agreements are written quoting SEC rules and regulations while allowing the company free access and control of ALL monies held without regard for the client while holding the "Company" unaccountable.

You want proof?  Grab a contract with this company and READ it!

My opinion is that this Company should be avoided.  DO NOT do business with them.  They are only after your money, all of it. 

My name is Ryan Patterson, I work with Sterling Investment myself and we are only located in Arizona at this time.  There is nobody in the company named Hubbert. I have known Eric for a long time now and he has earned my respect and I know very well that he would not participate in any negative or shady actions.  I myself was invited to Sterling Investment and have nothing but praise for the company, the business model, and the structure and most of all, the leadership.  We have to obtain all necessary financial licenses and pass a very in-depth background to even begin working with clients. There has never been a  gentleman named Hubert Humpheys that has worked for Sterling Investment. I know personally all of the Co - Founders and every Advisor that Sterling has hired. Sterling Investment was founded in Mesa AZ and is not currently in any other states. Although we hope to change that by continuing to grow. :)  I have been with Sterling Investment since the very beginning and can attest to Eric Elams character and the high integrity of the company. I have a Bachelors Degree in Finance and Global Business Management. I also hold a Series 6,63,65 and Producers Life License. I will in the near future also attain the CFP designation, which in many financial planners opinion is one of the most sought after designations one can receive in the financial planning arena. It is often compared closely to the CPA designation in the accounting arena. I have personally trained and mentored Mr. Elam and can tell you that the accusations presented are widely misstated and should be represented by the individuals unwillingness to leave his/her name. I know that upon further investigation anyone would find validity in my statement. Sterling Investment is one of the few companies I know of that is completely aligned with its vision statement, which is "To bring freedom, hope and prosperity to those overlooked by the financial services establishment." I have been an agent with Sterling Investment since they started. I know for a fact that the company is none of the things it is portrayed to be in this ripoff report. The company is in no way associated with a person named Hubert Humphreys.

They have not worked in other Territories prior to this report either. I am not sure what the person who wrote this is referring to.  Sounds like to me he was miss informed.

I have been apart in helping many families to better their financial situation through the products and services that Sterling Investment makes available to families. I hold many state insurance and securities licenses and have the Registered Investment Advisor designation. I would not associate with nor would I let my clients be a part of any company that did not put the very best interest of me and my clients first.

I can also vouch first hand for Eric Elam. I have known Eric for years now and he has been nothing but a stand up example of how to conduct business. I am not sure who wrote this ripoff report or for what purpose but I am assuming that the
reason they didn't list their real name or contact info is because they knew that the statement was not only slander but FALSE. Don't let someones false accusations and miss information affect your decision about working with what I would consider to be the best financial planning firm in the nation. Sterling Investment is a Great company!
