Do not buy any puppies from Steve Feldman or one of his many businesses which include the following: NY Bulldogs, Bulldogs NYC, and Bulldogs on the Beach, which is located in Hollywood Florida. We found out too late that this man has a history of selling sick dogs to many, many people.

We recently purchased a bulldog puppy from Steve Feldman after seeing the dog on the Bulldogs NYC website. We brought our new puppy home and he seemed to be in great health. Unfortunately less than 2 days later, we had to make a trip to the emergency room, as the puppy was vomitting and just didn't seem right. He was diagnosed with the parvovirus. He was in the hospital for 4 days and should come through it just fine. We love our dog and would do anything for him.

We contacted Mr. Feldman to let him know of the puppy's illness and he only returned my phone call after I threatened legal action. He agreed to pay the medical costs incurred, which is required under the NY State Pet Lemon Laws. Since this phone call, in which we also requested medical records, we have not heard a word back. We will file all necessary paperwork as required under the Lemon Laws and are fully prepared to whatever it takes all responsible parties to the fullest extent of the law.

I only wish I had done my homework prior to buying the puppy. If you go to the Better Business Bureau website, you will see that under his former business, Puppy Elite (website has been shut down), there have been 16 complaints filed against him in the past 12 months, none of which have been resolved. There are also several other complaints filed on this website.

This guy needs to go down! He should not be allowed to continue his crooked business. He's caused a lot of heartache to many families and cost them thousands of dollars in medical bills. I am lucky that it looks like my puppy will recover, but that does not seem the case for other poopr puppies sold my this individual.

There seem to be enough of us out there who have been duped by this horrible, horrible man. We need a way to pull together and end this once and for all! I have started contacting various media outlets regarding the story and am hopeful that one will respond. If he's not going to be an upstanding businessman and cover the medical bills incurred, so be it. But I'm going to continue to try to get this message out there to anyone who will listen and I suggest everyone else do the same!!!

I agree. We unfortunately made the mistake and purchased a French Bulldog from this place. Less than 6 days later the puppy had to be hospitalized with an upper respiratory infection, and ear infection, and sever ab distention. Called them immediately and sent them over all the detailed paperwork and x rays as they said they need to present to their vet to verify. I also requested the information of their vet as the paperwork said the "supposed" shots she had at the vet but absolutely no information on the sheet. Not name of vet or location or anything all vets use on their documentation. This little trip cost us an additional $1000 which I think they are going to ignore me and not pay. Luckily, the state laws require that the breeder is responsible for any sickness of the puppy for up to 6 months and will be made to pay no more than double the cost of the pet. I have a lawyer lined up because I think it will come to this. Please, this is not what you want to be involved in. Advise all friends and relatives NOT to deal with BulldogsNYC. Please feel free to message me if you have a similar story and would like to join me in taking legal action.

Why overspend on pets when you get better pets

At the pound or through a breed specific rescue shelter? If you want a purebred dog - look for a rescue center that specializes in those breeds, If not breed specific - the local animal shelters have plenty of good dogs in need of good loving homes. Stop wasting good money on Puppy Mills!

Mr. Feldman is definitely not a man of his word, as he had indicated that he would pay for our puppy's medical costs, and we have yet to see a dime. We sent him a copy of the medical bills (which totaled over $2,100) and the letter from the vet that the puppy was "unfit for sale", all within 14 days of purchasing the puppy, which is what is required under NY state law. We sent these items certified with return receipt requested to both the Brooklyn, NY address, as well as the Hollywood, FL address for Bulldogs on the Beach (which I believe he is affiliated with as well, as that is the business which charged by credit card for the $200 deposit we put down on the puppy). I have been tracking the packages, and neither were accepted at the locations, which means they're probably on their way back to me right now. I am submitting my complaint to the Attorney General's office today and am going to include copies of the numerous complaints that have been filed on this website, as well as with the Better Business Bureau. While it would be great to get reimbursed for the $2,100 we spent to get our puppy back to good health, the money isn't half as important to me as this guy getting what he deserves. The complaints with the BBB have gone from 16 to 19 within the last month. He will continue to lie to people and cheat them out of their money unless someone puts a stop to it. Also, wanted to chime in about the AKC papers. When he tells you he has registration papers, they're not AKC. They're for some no-name place on the internet to register your pet. He gives you this little certificate and it has the parents names on it, and that is it. And it costs you $15 to get it. Complete waste. Although Steve never told me "oh, your papers are in the mail." Instead, he tried to make me feel stupid for wanting the AKC papers, saying "I don't really understant why you want that. They don't mean anything, and the AKC has been the subject of a lot of scandal lately." Lastly, what I think is priceless, is that his bulldogsnyc has a section for Scam Alerts, which currently doesn't show anything. Kind of ironic, when he seems to be the biggest scammer out there.
