I purchased a 1966 Mustang from Steve in December of 2007.Along with the car were suposed to be several other items.I received them all except for a ford 9" third member.I called and sent emails to Steve and he always wrote back that he was looking for one and when he found one he would send it to me.Finally in July of 2008 he wrote he would be willing to share the cost of one which he said would be around 400.Well I figured I should get the full price and when we talked on the phoe on Oct.27 2008 he now stated he isn't willing to pay anything that it should be the delivery man who should pay.I don't know of any way of getting my part or money besides small claims.I am asking if any one knows if there are any legal ways such as filing a police report that might help.

Shipper Was Responsible For the Lost Part

The part that Ray references was loaded on the shipper's truck at the time the car was picked up. The delivery person insists the part was delivered. Dealer's in general are not responsible for the delivery of cars or car parts. We sell the cars and parts, we are not in the business of delivering them to the customer. Third party shipping companies are always used. This buyer hired the delivery person and unfairly placed the blame on my company for the lost part. Doesn't make any sense at all, but to maintain customer satisfaction we offered to pay for half the replacement cost of the part. We never heard from this customer, regarding this offer, until recently. This matter has now been resolved. Please disregard this Rip Off Report. CarPlanet.com is an extremely fair dealer. One of the fairest out there. We have 100% positive feedback on Ebay and have numerous positive references. Note that this buyer was extremely happy with the quality of his car.
