Straight Delivery Is Dishonest, They Are Liars, And They Are Not Up Front About All Of Their Charges. They straight up lied to me about their charges and refused an online coupon from their website. Ripoff Jamaica Queens New York
I hired this company to move me from Brooklyn, NY to Bensalem, PA (a suburb of Philadelphia). Before my move, I called the owner, Nick, to confirm and to inquire whether they also charged for travel time back to their warehouse after they dropped off my stuff. He straight up said, "No, we don't do that. We only charge from point A to point B." Okay. I had also asked about a $50 off coupon from their website to use for long distance moves and he said just show it to the driver on moving day. Okay.
Day of move? They arrive at my apartment, pack up. It takes them over 4 HOURS to get from Brooklyn to Bensalem (what, did they stop for lunch on the way? It should take 2 hours, 3 TOPS if the traffic is dreadful). When they open the truck, it is CLEAR that they stopped off somewhere and picked up someone else's stuff. So as they are unloading my gear, the driver tells me they will also charg me on top of the per/hour for the workers, 3 HOURS of "driving time" for the return trip to NY. This is AFTER the owner/Nick told me "Oh we don't do that". We end up on the phone with Nick, he is arguing that I "misunderstood" what he was saying. All throughout this, the driver is telling the workers to stop unloading my possessions, basically holding them hostage until we pay, what ultimately ended up being TWICE the projected estimate of the move. Now, I figured that it would be more than the initial projection, but TWICE??? We end up paying, being backed against the wall. And what else? They refused to honor the $50 off coupon, saying it was a "local move" AFTER they initially told me to "show it to the driver". If they had been honest up front about the costs, it would have been different but because of that lying snake Nick, we didn't have enough money to tip the workers. Total rip off artist!!!
