Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Our troubles began when a representative of Strategic Roofing (Kelvin Moore) came to our house and bid for a new roof after a major hailstorm.  They had performed work at another house on our street so we felt confident they were legit.

Unfortunately, it would appear that was part of the scam.  Upon signing a contract with them and offering a deposit, we were promised work would begin in approximately 21 days.  That came and went with no communication.  We emailed and called, only to get answering services.  We finally got Kelvin's cell phone number and started calling him.  The only time we got a call back was when we pretended to be the owner of another house that needed work.  Kelvin eventually handed us off to David Lasalla, the company's owner.   David assured us work would begin soon.  That was more than six months ago.

Since then, David Lasalla has skipped town and refuses to complete the work.  He took our money and our neighbors, well in excess of $10,000.  Then he actually sent us paperwork accusing us of cancelling the contract and sent us a bill for more money!  Upon doing research through a legal contact, we've discovered David Lasalla has had multiple businesses associated with this sort of activity.  He has operated under names such as Diamond Financial, Apex Roofing, Assured Builders, all with legal filings against them.  Each time he gets in trouble, he sets up shop under a new business name.  In fact, in response to negative feedback we've sent, David just 'closed' Strategic Roofing and registered a new entity: Strategic Contracting Network.  He is registered in Texas and Colorado.  He also setup another company called One Source Contracting Network in Florida.

David Lasalla, nor any of his companies, should be trusted in any way.  I encourage anyone and everyone to do their research before signing a contract with them.  And definitely do not give them a dime until the work is complete.
