Complaint Review: strayer university - Internet Internet

2nd if you are not someone who can help me with my situation then you dont need to tell me anything.

If you keep hoping that someone will come down from the heaven and help you whenever you made a mistake, please keep your hope and continue waiting. There are people who see the problem but can't help because the ONLY person who can help is yourself. The person who posted before just gave you a suggestion. If you don't want to listen, it is up to you. If you expect someone to CORRECT your mistake, good luck on that.

3rd i dont care who you are for all i know you could be with strayer. I have a complaint about taking to long on taking care of buisness, my community college is just a place for them to collect money also.

You are correct, anyone can enroll with any school as long as they are qualified for. One difference is "whatever school" you are attending may not be accredited when you attempt to transfer. Another difference is you will NOT be able to find a job because of the institute you graduated from. When you hit that point, please come back and complain again. Or you could search and read many complaints on this site about [filled in the blank] school that they could not find a job but waste all the money.

I stay in Gary Indiana and like I said the community college is just taking money and no one is passing there they have a 4% graduation rate which means people are not learning. So it seems like you want to be a counselor on a site and give direction and you are a nobody.

The 4% graduation rate of the community college does not mean you WILL graduate from Strayer. They are 2 different schools. Also, please keep your hope high about learning something from any school. If you keep the same attitude as you were in high school, you will never graduate from any college. In order to graduate from a college, you are required to have a lot more self control and responsibilities. You also need to be more open minded and listen to others. If you think you know it all already, you will pay the price for that.

No, I do not want or need to be a counselor. I just said from my own experiences, and I believe that the previous poster also said from his/her experience. I did go through a community college to get an associated degree, and then transferred to a public college. The tution I paid in community college is 1/4 of what I paid in a public college. If you don't want to listen, it is up to you (again). But please, do NOT pollute the Internet with this childish complain when you have already been given suggestions. Live and learn.

Strayer is a place where they suck you in with good people who talk nicely to you and tell you everything about them,but they leave out how slow they are with processing stuff and rude customer servce people.

There are plenty of private schools that are similar to Strayer. The sale people are nice and give you hope. They all either believe what they do are helping people or they blatenly lie for commission they are getting. You can try to jump from one school to the other. Oh, and be prepare to PAY on your own before you graduated because your financial aid will RUN OUT. Good luck paying the debt you are creating. Please do NOT come back to complain again when you CANNOT graduate. Good luck on your decision. Admit what you have decided to do and do NOT blame others for your own decision after you see that it is a mistake.

I just called them and the young lady on the phone was rude as hell, and they keep up with the same s**t. All they say is we are waiting on transcripts and I sent them in July 1st 2013. They put me in sum classes so they can keep me in something so they can get some  loot. I should have checked this site before i went with this college. I know better now.......Thank you whoever you are for the time...Hope you like what you read so you can grade me on my grammar errors.....

A few suggestions for you...

First, go check out your local community college. Based on what you wrote, you need to start off with a class in basic writing skills. They will test you and place you in an appropriate course.

Second, community colleges are far cheaper than the proprietary (for profit) online schools.  They also have online courses for the working adult. 

Third, it sounds like you're waiting on an evaluation of previous colege credits. Get that BEFORE you enroll next time. It might save you some time in the long run.

Fourth, get your financial aid package lined up BEFORE you enroll.  That way you'll have a clear picture of what you will owe.  Be advised that if you transfer to another school, Strayer won't send your transcript to them until that bill is paid off. Don't try and get around it because the federal financial aid people know you went there.

Lastly, you have no cause to sue. Don't waste money on an attorney. They haven't done anything illegal.
