Stubaus Transport Inc. Told to drive sick with pnemonia; told to ignore fuel stations; refuse to pay money due for load deliveries Mt Prospect Illinois
During my first week of driving for Stubaus, I was constantly harrassed about stopping the truck to take DOT breaks. I informed them that I needed to stop to eat and to take bathroom breaks. However, they had a probelm with that.
In the middle of my first week, I became sick. I informed the company that I was not feeling well and beginning to get dizzy. I was told to continue to drive anyway.
When I could no longer drive, I shut the truck down and dialed 911 to take me to the nearest hospital where I was diagnosed with pneumonia. I tried calling Stubaus to inform them of the situation; but, they refused to answer the telephone. This went on for a couple of days.
Upon finally talking to someone, I was told that I should have continued to drive until that final load was delivered. An indication that this company does not care about its employees. He did not care that the doctor told me had I waited another two days, I would have died.
Stubaus refuses to pay me for the loads in which I delivered. They have changed the pay dates several times. I ran out of gas because they ignored my request to stop at fuel stations when my gas was low.
They are too cheap when it comes to fueling their truck. These people are criminalizing the trucking industry. They get you to drive their trucks, harrass you, have you deliver their loads and refuse to pay.
I would not recommend driving for Stubaus Transport Inc. to anyone.
