Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This organization advertises on the radio to help people with the Obama Student Loan forgiveness program. They simply fill out a consolidation loan application for you and charge you $800. The loan application is something you can do yourself with Direct Loans for FREE. If you give them any money they will refuse to give it back stating that the phone calls you made to them cost them money and the emails they sent you cost them money. this was the reason stated for keeping my $217 deposit. I gave them a deposit of $100 to get the program started and was to make several installment to pay the $800.Greg emailed me documents for me to sign but I never did so because I was not 100% sure about the whole idea.

I learned that I could do this application myself and asked for a refund. Greg said the accounting department, which is probably the guy in the next desk, would contact me about processing the refund. several days passed without any contact so I called back and had to leave a voice mail for Greg. I also sent him and email. that Friday they withdrew an additional $117 from my checking account. I email Greg again and called. Another guy, who tried really, really hard to be as hateful as possible, said they would not refund the money and there was nothing I could do about it.

I should not have acted impulsively by giving them the first deposit before doing some research so it cost me $217. I have an attorney working on it now but I hope this keeps other from making the same mistake.

To your misleading response.

I am quite sure you do have thousands of satisfied and happy customers. I'm confident you have completed loan consolidation applications on behalf of thousands and that it was done with great efficiently but I thought $800 (my discounted price) seems a lot to pay for a process anyone can complete for FREE. I have no doubt you handle the application process with stellar results because it's simple and easy to do if you graduated the 3rd grade. So kudos to you guys.

As to your claim regarding a customer causing you to incur expenses when they sign a contract is a misleading statement because you well know I did not sign anything. Unless you have heated arguments on a regular basis with customers, I am confident you remember our discussion. You therefore should have no problem remembering that you told me that you would not give me my deposit back and, "there is nothing I could do about it." YOU WERE WRONG! I got my $217.00 back in spite of your arrogant and unprofessional attitude and policy.

I am not suggesting your services are of no value. I am only attempting to inform others about the way you operate so if your services are retained it will be with a better understanding of what exactly you are doing for them. This is information I should have found before I foolishly gave you my $217 deposit. People pay others everyday to do things they could do for themselves. People pay to have their grass cut, house cleaned, gas put in their car, their pools cleaned, and numerous others so there is nothing inherently wrong with what you guys do it's just the way you treated me when I didn't want to move forward with your services. I did not sign anything, to which you said didn't matter, and I was told when making the deposit that it was refundable but it was not without forcing you to do so.

It is clear your main concern is getting all you can out of every client with a short term business cycle and are not laying a foundation for long-term customer acquisition and retention. The money today is all that's important, a "get it while we can" attitude which hints to a short lifespan for your organization. Instead of arguing with me in this public forum you might consider just apologizing to me for being such a jerk and modify you operating procedures to prevent this in the future if the future is something you care about.

Good day Sir.

There are always going to be those few clients who don't choose to proceed forward with our services once they have in fact signed up to do so.  That is always a choice that the client has at any time during the process.  When a person signs our contract to do business with us, we work vigorously to assist their needs.  When people have 2nd thoughts after the process has begun, there are real costs that are incurred to a business and as a result, policies are in place to address refunds.

Student Loan Bailout has an outstanding reputation for getting the job done right.  We have had tens of thousands of clients who have benefitted by the work that is done.  While every voice has a right to be heard, it is important for people to realize that 1 unhappy client among thousands is EXACTLY the company you should be doing business with.  Additionally, Student Loan Bailout maintains an A rating with the BBB as well.  Student loan Bailout is here to help, not hurt.

First of all I am a man, not a woman.

Secondly your claim that I signed anything is a complete lie! I challenge you to produce my signature right here!

This clearly demonstrates your organizations unethical and dishonest behavior. I'm sure you do "help" people, for an outrageous fee to do something they can do themselves.

I will tell everyone that my money was refunded after my bank challenged the charge and I made this report. The money was refunded despite your "managers" insistence it would never happen....lol!

The client who issued this report failed to mention she authorized us to act as her agent of the program when she did in fact sign her documents.  We have an outstanding reputation and have not had any other reports to the contrary but from someone who feels that a company with an area of expertise in a field should not provide their services.  We are here to help, not to hurt.
