Friend posted a link about a reimbursements on student loans due to excessive fees, etc. The article had a number and I was driving. I made the mistake of calling and providing some personal information. Upon getting off of the call, I placed a freeze at all 3 bureaus. The representative at student services was suppose to call me back and never did. In fact, I called back a second time to get more information and I was xferred to the "agent" whom was helping me before. He said he would call me back immediately once he pulled up my account. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY AND PROVIDE INFORMATION. I can't believe I got so busy with life that I fell for it. Blah!!
Upon further investigation, the FSA ID website specifically states it is against he law to enter the information on behalf of someone. I caught them before they could do any damage, but this is without a doubt an identity theft scam.
