Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
William O'Toole and his crew. Working for Summit legal group / take 2 processing / solutions group. Promised to get us a home modification loan. After ripping us off for over 3500.00. Our home is now up for sherriff sale. Beware the following names. Aren Anderson, William O'Toole, Soloman Macari, Sabastian, Frank, Mr. Baker. They are all running this scam together. It has not stopped just because O'Toole lost his license. It is still going on! They just ripped us off for more money in the last 2 months. I am sure it will continue, as names of the business change, numbers change, and the people you deal with constantly change. And if you question anything, you are made to feel like a bad person for not trusting them. I don't believe I will ever trust anyone again!!!

Summit Legal Group Scam

#2Consumer Comment

Tue, December 20, 2011

By now, you have realized that Summit Legal was a scam.

Briefly, here is the history of what has been going on.

Randy Baker is the ringleader here.  He operated businesses called Triton Group Holdings, Tropical Marketing and, more Recently Baker, Kennedy, and Associates, before forming Summit Legal with Mr. O'Toole.  The Attorney General's Economic Crimes Division took action against Baker, Kennedy on April 13, 2011, long after Baker, Kennedy had been dissolved.

On July 25, 2011, due to many complaints, the Florida Bar suspended the license of Mr. O'Toole for causing great Public Harm, and the remaining scammers set up shop as Take2 Processing.  The scammers included Randy Baker, Solomon Macari, Aren Anderton (Baker's second wife), Elizabeth Baker (Baker's daughter from his first marriage), the father-son team of Sebastian and Court Snow, and others.

The Attorney General's Economic Crimes Division were already investigating Summit and the individual scammers.  On October 18, 2011, a cease and desist order was issues against O'Toole, R. Baker, Anderton, Macari, and E. Baker.  They closed up shop (all scams operated from the Boca Raton address) and are out of the mortgage business.

At this time, you must contact your lender directly and seek to get a real loan modification.  Not everyone qualifies, but you may be able to lower your monthly payments and have your arrears covered by a HUD Loan payable at the end of the mortgage.

To complain to authorities, do the following:

Florida Bar:  Call Sheila Tuma at 407-515-3248.

Florida Attorney General:  Call Terry Crossen at 561-837-5000 ext. 123.

Getting money back from the scammers will not be easy.
