I am not sure if you know the recent history.
In any event, William T. O'Toole of Summit Legal was the only lawyer at the firm. Anyone else was a non-lawyer. O'Toole gave a deposition to the Florida bar on June 28, papers were filed for an emergency suspension on July 14, and the suspension became effective July 25.
You should contact the Florida Bar for financial relief through their Clients' Security Fund.
You should contact either Carol DeGraffenreidt or Terry Crossen at the Florida Attorney General's Economic Crimes Division in West Palm Beach. They have an ongoing investigation and will move more quickly as the number of complainants grows.
Victims have been networking over the past several months. This website does not allow for the positing of email addresses and phone numbers. I suggest you google Summit Legal and go to another website to complain. Include your contact information and one of the other victims will contact you.
By all means, contact your lender directly and seek counsel in your area.
You are not the only victim in New York. Your Attorney General may be far more inclined than the folks in Florida to pursue these crooks. By all means, contact and complaint to the New York Governor and Attorney General.
Good Luck!
