I had an agent from Summit Merchant Solutions come to my store and sign me up to have their company do my Master Card and Visa and Debit processing. His name is Vito La Nave, the name of his boss is Mike Settle. His bosses main office is in Texas.

I asked the agent before I signed up a bunch of questions. The agent told me there is no annual fee, I am not under any lease at all, my monthly bank statement fee is $5.00, the pin pad for using debit card is $29.95 a month and no state taxes.I had three witnesses with me who heard everything the agent told me. Everything the agent told me is a bunch of LIES. LIES and more LIES!!!

The annual fee.....$95.00. The monthly statement fee....$9.95. Pin pad after state and local taxes...$34.95. Instead of saving me money for lower rates...its just the opposite. If i decide to leave the processing company after 60 days, I would have to pay a fee of close to $300.00.

The agent for Summit Merchant signed me up for the pin pad. He never told me that the pin pad was going to be by a leasing company. He never wrote out a contract from them, just signed me up with Summit Merchant.

I also told the agent that I will not "Personal Guarrantee" the pin pan. He assured me that there isn't any. Of course that was also a Lie. I also got a letter from LEASE FINANCE GROUP LLC that told me they are the owners of the pin pad and at the end of the 4 year lease if I wanted to keep it I would have to pay them an additional 10 percent buy out. They also sent to me a copy of where I signed a personal guarrantee for the pin pad.

I have since found out that I can buy a pin pad ffrom between $125.00 and $150.00. The salesman told me that I could buy the pin pad for $900.00, but it's better to lease it. I realize now..that by the time I would be finished paying for the pin pad, it would cost me close to $2,000.00 when I would be done. WHAT A RIP OFF COMPANY THIS IS!!!

In the State of Florida, their are also laws against Price Gauging. When you can get pin pads from 5 different companies for between 125 and 150 dollars and they want 900 dollars for the same thing....that is definitely s rip off and price gauging!!

If anybody knows of a class action lawsuit against this rip off company, I would like to join in. Also, close out your bank account and open up a new one. This way they can't automatically withdraw any more money from your account.

I can undersrtand your fustrations Mr. Sheldon but there are some things you are leaving out. First, all your equipment is warrantied for as long as you have Summit for your processing. Meaning that if it breaks for ANY reason and cant be fixed by support then it will be replaced free and you just have to pay the shipping. Second, you also failed to mention that you do not have to pay for supplies for your equipment, that is free also, you did not mention that if you do buy a notepad on your own, you still have to pay to get it replaced or fixed and still have to buy the supplies. Now, if you do the math and this "2000 dollars" after 4 yrs, you have to factor in things such as supplies since you are going to need reciept paper or a warranty you would most often times pay additional for, not to mention the cost of fixing and replacing. Also, another thing you didnt mention is that you get your money almost immeadiately, a lot faster than almost any other processing company. Also, if you chose to safegaurd yourself from bad checks or forgery Summit will cover you up to 1500-7500 dollars depending on what YOU chose. Everytime i talk to an owner i let them know everything up front and sometimes they dont sign on, but the cost you are incurring covers a whole lot of PROTECTION and PEACE OF MIND that no one else offers. Do you want to be safe with a strong company backing you or be gimmicked by the "free equipment" companies (which by the way, often times you are on your own for EVERYTHING after you sign on)? most of the owners that sign on with me have already been with others, that is why they are calling me and signing on with me.

Let's get the record straight here. I own my own credit card machine. The rep who signed me up from Summit Merchant Solutions told me in order to accept "debit" visa or master charge I need a pin pad. He never told me that or showed me in the paperwork when he signed my store up that Summit Merchant Solutions would only be doing the processing of the credit cards and that Lease Finance Company would be leasing me the pin pad. In front of three witnesses I was told their is no "personal guarantee" on the pin pad, no annual fee, no buyout on the pin pad, no lease, and other things All of these things turned out to be lies, and more lies. When Lease Finance Company sent to me a copy of the non cancellable lease, the copy that they send to me when put side by side against my copy. their copy has things written on it that my copy doesn't. Both copies should be the same. not different. When their are over 600 reports filed in Illinois BBB against Lease Finance in the past 36 months, and with numerous reports filed with the Attorney General of Illinois and other Attorney General of different states, and with the FBI and with the Federal Trade Commission against this company. I know that alot of small businesses have been ripped off, fooled, scanned from this company.

Extortion and Racketeering are a Federal Offense

#9Consumer Suggestion

Tue, August 14, 2007

After reading almost all the reports on this website relating to Lease Finance Group, I realized that Lease Finance Group and the Merchant Companies are involved in Racketeering and Extortion. My suggestion is to skip the BBB's and go directly to the Feds. These companies are invloved in federal crimes. Let the FBI and the AG's handle this. Every complaint filed to the FBI, by law has to be investigated. Log on to the FBI website and file a report. These people are criminals and need to be brought down soon. I wrote letters to the FBI in Washington D.C. and to the FBI Chicago office and the appropriate AG's offices. These corrupt companies need to be brought down once and or all. People file your complaints to the FBI. Thanks
