I am an ex-employee of SunCom. SunCom has terms of the contract that must be read by every consumer that subscribes with SunCom. In the contract, it should state that SunCom reserves the right to cancel service if usage if more than %50 out of their network. The Unplan is designed for those that are in the network. At each store location, there is a map that displays the network. SunCom information on the customer is contingent on the information that the customer supplies. Advice: Take a look at the coverage map in the SunCom stores, or simply log onto SunCom.com. If you are not covered in the area, then search elsewhere for a telecommunications company that will best suit your needs.

in the terms and conditions it clearly states that they can charge you etf if you cancel service before the contrast is fullfilled. However, since you are off the network they reserve the right to cancel service and release you from the contract. it is costing them more money by keeping you. So just ignore the reps at the call center. Most are under strict guidelines and talk time to get the money and leave. hope this helps...
