Sunset West International, Affiliated With West Coast Gallary ripoff, investment promises that never materilized West Hollywood California
Someone from Merrit Financial refered me to Sunset West International in December 1999.
The broker that I have worked with is Bob Austin, the president is Alan Libman.
I bought a number of Kennedy memoribilia with a promise that I will make a great profit by the Summer of 2000 when the Democratic national convention conviened in Los Angeles. Bob later mentioned that there was a security problem for advertising these items. To this day this has never happened. I have spent over $100,000 prior to the Summer of 2000.
I have bought a number of other pieces from them with a promise that a profit will materilized. For example, in July 2002, I bought a Picasso print, for $18,200, when I was told that I had a buyer for a Kennedy item that have I purchased for $25,000. The buyer was willing to buy both the Kennedy memoribilia and the Picasso print for $104,000. This has never happened.
Once everything has been said and done I have invested about $130,000 with these bastards.
Sometime in 2003 they merged with Investment Strategies. Now I am not able to make any contact with anybody there. I am going through an auction site hoping to get somewhere close to what I originally paid for the above memoribilia.
