Arrived at rental villa to find it wasn't clean. We called the management service who came and vacuumed but did not clean further. There were bodily secretions and hairs found throughout the house, as were headlice. Food remains were in the kitchen, there were no clean towels or sheets.

After check-out we received a nasty letter from the villa owner in the UK. The management company said there was damage that we had not caused, and said we had more than the legal occupancy limit staying in the home. At no time did anyone aside from myself and my young children stay in the villa!

The company had entered the home several days into our visit, when it had that "lived in" look and took photographs. Sunstate then sent those to the owner saying that is the condition in which we left the house. This is not so as the items seen in the photographs are now in my home, 10 hours north of the rental villa!

Sunstate even told the owners we left piles of vomit behind!!!

The mgmt company says the owner was charged for the issues they claim, however they still refuse to provide actual proof of the damages or invoices to show that there was extra cleaning done to the house after we left. They also refuse to tell me what they told the house owner about the state of the house. The owner of the home has contacted me, and after I provided proof that the house was not left damaged, she will not be charging above the security deposit. I asked the owner for proof of the services but she could not provide that, she simply stated in an email what the extra charges were. Included was a travel fee for the management company to travel to the house to clean it, isn't that the JOB of the mgmt company, to travel to the house?? Since the owner has decided not to charge extra I am dropping the entire situation now, though I still would like to see actual, real proof of the damage they are stating.

After I was able to prove that the company did not provide the villa owner with correct information the company refuses to deal with me and send proof of any problems.
