I need to order a birth certificate online, my state, MA, will only allow you to do this through a third party service and instruct you to choose "vitalrecords.com...unfortunately, I chooose the first option that apperaed in a google search, assuming they were all the same and filled in my information on "fastbirthcertificate.com". Thought something was strange when the fee was 99 (before the actaul birth certificate fee) when on MA websitre it advertised vitalrecords.com as a one fee of 71.00!
Anyway, I submitted and paid. superfilings emailed me on 11 May 2015 to tell me ,my certificate has been mailed. Three weeks go by and I still don't hacve a birth certificate. I contacted support at superfilings and got this response:
" We did our services and filed with the state, thgat is what you agreed to pay for, we can send you
a copy of the agreement"
Perhaps I am assuming too much, but I would think if I pay anyone 99.00 for any service, they should follow through when it does not work. Instead, there attitude is, we mailed the form, we are all done with you.
In another email correspondance, they did say that part of their responsibility, was to file and "smoth things over" with the state. I said, OK! Please smooth things over with the state - I need the birth certificate! The response was that smooth things over means correct any misspellings I may have had in the form. In further correspondences, i was told that is "illegal for them to contact the state in my behalf" How did they order the birth certificate with out contacting the state?
I feel, honest companies will give you what you paid for or refund the money. Superfilings wont do either. I have no birth certificate and $100 less in my checking account! I was ripped off.

The number they gave me is only a recording with instructions: The reason I payed for this swercvice is that MA only takes requests through third party agencies.

We are terribly sorry this individual had issues or problems in getting their certificate!
In researching this complaint, we are having trouble finding any record of this. Most of the very few negative reports about us are by competitors posting phony complaints. If this is a real complaint, we kindly ask that the individual complaining provide details of the order so we can address and correct the issue.
To address the complaint: we would never use the demeaning tone that this individual suggested. To quote:
"We did our services and filed with the state, that is what you agreed to pay for, we can send you a copy of the agreement."
That type of language so far from any language we would ever use to a paying customer! Especially if the issue (as it seems in this case) was simply a problem with the delivery address provided. That is a very easy issue to correct.
We are a hard working small business, and our entire company goal is to take the pain and hassle out of the birth certificate request process and provide a positive experience.
We are always here to help and answer questions. Our reps are friendly, knowledgeable, and available. So please: Reach out to us! Ask us questions! Tell us your concerns! We are here to help.
