Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
If you are an experienced salesperson looking for a legitimate product to build your business...STAY CLEAR of with this company.....

I was looking for a way to build a income with sales. They require that you send them $399 which you will get back when you have met a certain sales volume. It did not seem unreasonable to me at the time, I thought I asked all the right questions about protected territory (you don't get that) and protected accounts (you get that) and I have past success with building income as an independent sales rep.

I checked out their website and the better business bureau. It all seemed quite good.... Now I see the error of my own judgement. I wish I had checked out rip off report FIRST. The better business bureau ONLY posts customer reports. If you are reading this now, then you are smarter than I was. Supeior promises that you can not fail to make money (and good money at that) IF you follow their proven method of sales. They promise to teach you everything you need to know. Wish I had known what that would be...

You will probably fail with this company, lose your money and not make one sale UNLESS you do what they say and that is basically check your brain at the door and high pressure business people into spending up to ten times as much money for better lighting.... Oh, and just in case you are the kind of person that likes to build good relationships with your customers, you can forget about this company. They offer replacement gaurantees that amount to nothing ...the customer is required to buy 6 bulbs when replacing one...whoop dee do!

During the sales training, you are told to use cheesy tactics...give the potential customer a flashlight, go for the emotional response, and get the order quick!

It seems that Superior Light wants you to ignore the fact that as a nation we are in a financial crunch and people are sorely tired of wasteful spending..

Expect to have all your questions answered the same way: "Sell the way we told you to." So, here it is...get someone to listen to you by handing them a flashlight, show them how BRIGHT your flourescent tubes are...when they object to the price of $18.87 EACH..(about ten times what they are paying now) use another close...a bogus move with their calculator...Never look up, never give up, fight, fight, fight for the order...and you will succeed.

You don't have to worry about anything after that because once you make a sell, they are gonna teach how to get more sales on the phone. You just keep going out there and make 32 calls a day! Wow..I couldn't get anyone to buy my bulbs...people are just too darned informed...seems that decision makers actually KNOW how much a light bulb is worth to them and don't fall for the "emotional " sale as easily as Superior trainers made it seem.

With each presentation, I realized I could not come close to competing for the order, people did not fall for the formula I used to show them what they were already spending...it was a joke. If I were honest about it all, I was asking them to spend more money. I felt my credibility sink, and did not want to be a part of scamming...

When I tried to get questions answered about products and pricing, I was told the same old line again and again..."That's why we want you to sell the way we showed you" They want you to get the customer and they will show you how to phone sale from that point on.

WHAT a WASTE of $399. An expensive lesson for someone who really does need to be earning money.

This is a 1099 contract, don't fall for their bullish tactics..they assign a manager to you and they don't mind calling to prode you along even on Sunday evenings...just wanna make sure you are out their making calls. I think I could have done without this lesson. It appears that good independent reps..people who want to sell a good product in a competitive market, and want to be in control of their own integrity are not what this company will support.

I would bet that the reason the light bulbs are so expensive is that a huge part of their profits are spent on "sales managers"..."sales trainers" and your $399 helps keep that going. My husband questione this from the get go...I wish I had listened to him a little more closely and not wasted a couple of weeks making cold calls in the triple digit heat!
