Superior Paving, Barney Sherlock, Pat Sherlock Custom Paving : Conning, Fraud and Theft Sharpsburg Georgia
Around September 1, 2007 we contracted Superior Paving to custom pave our driveway and parking paid. On September 7th we paid Barney Sherlock and his nephew Pat Sherlock $14,000.00 for the job perfomed. After only a few months our driveway has cracking, sinking, and buckling. We have called Barney Sherlock over 20 times to correct the job. On two seperate occassions they were going to come a fix the drive way. The last phone call was made on April 18, 2008 in which we advised they had 10 days to made compensation or correction of the problem. I also sent a certified letter to the last known address advising the we would be seeking a lawyer as well as contacting the police to have him investigated for fraud. We have tried to call Mr. Stephens, but he has disconnected this cell number. As of today April 29th, I have not heard anything.
I did a little research on the internet and found the report from a consumer in Gray, Georgia with the same problems. Not only did a I find this fraud report, I also found Barney Steven Sherlock arrest record from the Spartanburg County Detention Facility. He has been arrested for numerous things including, grand larceny, burglary 1st degree, safecracking, and false information.
I also have a paid receipt with "Superior Paving: the name speaks for itself" and the top of it. The company is suppose to be in Sharpsburg, GA. As of today I have still not found a company that exist by that name.
