Dear Dr. Pattanashetti:

You advised for a crown on tooth number 20 that had no defect and only needed a referral to a gum specialist for taking care of receding gun across tooth 20 and tooth 19. Since March 2005, when you fixed the first crown in tooth no. 20, I am still trying to rectify the problem on tooth 20 caused by your lack of expertise and misdiagnosis. During the routine cleaning, my new dentist also noticed a small chunk of cement lodged around my gum and crown no. 15 that was also done by you. This tooth is also being redone now.

So far, I have spent more than $6000=00 from my own pocket by going to different specialists, including prosthodontists for correcting the problems on these teeth that were done by you. My attorney has advised me that I demand a minimum amount of $6000=00 from you, which even does not include the money that I will incur in future repairing my gum damaged by you around tooth 19 and tooth 20 in trying to fix the crown on tooth 20.

Not only I have spent a great deal of money in redoing and correcting the problems in tooth 15 and tooth 20, which still require me to go to the prosthodentist, but also I have suffered a great deal of pain and suffering that affected my work also.

I could be too anxious and could be wrong in my Earlier Comment

It seems that I was carried away in my previous post. I was in pain and felt disgruntled because of the crown pain. I was thinking it could be the dentists problem not my own. I was too anxious to replace the crown with other dentist. However, I was still in the pain for a few weeks, even after replacing the crown with a new one. Now I believe that my previous crown placed by Dr. Suresh P. could had been quite right and fit only if I had waited at least for a week. All In all, in the pain and anxiousness, I was carried away. I should have given little more time to know the result of the crown put by Dr. Suresh P. I could be wrong and unfair for putting all the blame on Dr. Suresh P.

Sincerely

Era D.

This Dentist is Really Crappy and does Poor work

The dentist is really crappy.  He must be novice.  He did really really a bad work on my crown too that required me to fix it again from another dentist.

I was thinking to rebut the public relation's comment because when many patients feel that the dentist does not have much skills in dentistry, it is probably true.  May be he is just a novice, but he remains so because he is condescending also.

I spent $650 for the crown and had re do it all over with another dentist by paying $900, as the insurence refused to pay for redoing the work.

Rebuttal for "Joe"

This is in response to "Joe's" letter to me about his dental care.

First his name is Ganesh Bhatt, he didn't even have the courage to put his own name.

Second, when the judge heard his information it was thrown out because it was completely baseless, and the judge stated that any information on the internet was illegal.

It is a shame that someone can write anything without any evidence and complete malice.

Thank you for you attention to this matter.

** LOOK NO FURTHER** If you NEED excellence in dental health...you NEED Dr. Suresh Pattanashetti

In response to "Joe's" article, I would like to say a great many things...but I will try to limit them to just a few.

First and foremost, there will be those reading this letter who will think I am biased in my opinions. I would like to set the record straight from the beginning to let you know I MOST CERTAINLY AM!

I have worked for Dr. Pattanashetti for quite some time now. He is only 1 of a diverse lot I have worked for not only in Maryland, but also in New York and Connecticut. I have worked in routine as well as emergent care.

Like most ordinary people, doctors come with many different attitudes and beliefs. some more dedicated. some less. They are, after all, as human as the lot of us. Never perfect, never the gods we make them out to be.

When I think of Dr. Pattanashetti, the quality that best describes him is "driven to integrity." He is a simple man, who cares deeply for each patient that comes into our office. Each day I bear witness to admirable traits in his character...from the way he gives 300% of his attention to the patient he is treating...to the way he calls each and every one back the same day to make sure they are doing well.

We all know only too well how stressful a visit to the dentist can be for those who are fearful and hesitant about their perception of a painful experience.

Dr. Pattanashetti & his staff are trying daily to change the way patients feel regarding pain & apprehension to dentistry. From the moment a patient calls our office, to the front desk, the assistants, the doctor & then out the door, we continuously strive for our personal best. Our office is dedicated to compassion and outstanding customer service.

Our attitude is one of education, honest treatment, and a firm commitment to excellent oral health.

That being said, I must state that we do not cut corners with our recommended treatment plans simply to accomodate insurance plans. Dr. Pattanashetti outlines the patient's options and then we extensively go over the treatment plan with them. When a patient walks leaves, they are as educated with their own dental health as we can make them. Their options are clear, and we do our utmost in assisting them to attain their goals.

The problem, however, with the "Joe's" of the world are this:

1.) They many times put off dental care for years
2.) Have a poor oral health regimen
3.) Try to plan dental treatment around what limited benefits insurance companies allow them

So, my request to these people is simple. TAKE BETTER CARE OF YOURSELF, AND STOP BLAMING OTHERS FOR THE DAMAGE DONE THROUGH NEGLIGENCE. It is no more Dr. Pattanashetti's fault that you are experiencing seemingly unsurmountable problems, than it is a spell cast from a wizard. Take control of your own life, and let us help you make better choices for the future. We are not here to judge you, nor are we here to torture you. we are here solely to assist where we are able, to listen when we can and ultimately to make your pain go away.

If a person goes to the dentist 2 times a year as recommended, the dentist will catch minor problems BEFORE they can become painful or emergencies.

We are only here to help. it is our sincere desire to make your life healthier, happier & brighter.

In a day & age when it is almost astounding to have a pleasant customer service experience WHEREVER you go. I have coined a saying, " The level of service in America."

In closing I would like to say this: Dr. Pattanashetti is a breath of much-needed fresh air, in a world that has forgotten how to put the needs of others before their own.

Sincerely,

Deborah L. Lauri
