SVT Office Supply SCAM Columbia Missouri
A man named "Sean" calls your office manager and tells you that he is friends with someone in your office, in this case it was our our CFO. He used the full name of the CFO. He said they are friends and that his father's office supply company is going out of business and he was talking to his friend there, the CFO and the friend said to call you (the office manager) and tell you what was available and what your CFO was interested in ordering, etc.
Of course when you mention to the person you work with that you spoke to their friend "SEAN", the have NO IDEA what you are talking about.
"Sean" is very convincing and makes small talk, etc. and is very believeable.
About 3 weeks later you will recieve your "order". We received 6-7 boxes that we did not open and wrote REFUSED/RETURN for UPS to take back.
