Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was contacted by Michelle Burkhart at Swapaleas.com after visiting thier website and requesting information. She called me adn stated her company will do miracles for me to sell my car. She said she would research, contact buyers, and handle all financing and find someone for me to buy the vehicle in a short period of time. Anyhow, I asked her for a copy of the contract with terms and guidelines that I would have to abide by before I decide to work with her. She stated she needed my credit card information before she sends the information out. I provided it to her to keep on file, but she stated she would not charge it. Anyhow, I contacted her the next day to let her know I decided I did not want to sign up as I did not feel that the terms of the contract or the information on their website showed any corroboration with the promises she was making. I asked her to make sure not to charge my card. My credit card was charged and I have made several requests from Swapalease to have them refund my money and the way they have dealt with me has been very unprofessional and frustrating. Andrew Hall, the supposed manager of Michelle has sided wiht her rather than siding with customer service, and that is very unprofessional. They do not return my calls, email me blatant lies. To sum my experience with them, I would say a very lousy, crooked company that takes your money with sales promises and does not wish to do anything in return for it.

I guess I am surprised at the comments. I am sure there are people where something did happen. I have told a number of people about this site. In the past 4 -6 years I have had 3 of my leases taken over and I took over leases of 3 cars. I never had a problem and whenever I called swaplease my call was returned. I enjoy looking through the cars and like to get another car for myself often. They are the best I have tried. If you did not get your money refunded then file a dispute on your credit card. The few disputes I have had with various companies like an ebay, I could cared less what their terms are for refunds. I just filed a dispute.

do not agree to any services and or paying a penny to these crooks.  They are crooks, you cannot swap your lease, it is a scam. Period. The only way to get rid of your lease or loan is to have a buyer payoff the balance of your loan or the buyer takes out his own loan and pays off your loan with that money and now they are making money to their own bank.  No such thing as swapping a lease, its a gimmic at best.

Author of rebuttal - retracting - yes, I wrote the rebuttal, I regret doing it as the author's claims were true about the owner's dishonesty

The original post by the author (an overweight angry woman I might add - Carmen Ponce) did tell a lot of truth about Number 1 Insurance and the illegitimacy of it's owner Michael Mukaled.  She was a very sick person however herself to attack the agents at Number 1 Insurance for our backgrounds had nothing to do with the illegal business practices that Number 1 Insurance owner employed.  I am glad her report was posted to warn consumers, it is interesting that she "knew" and was "appalled" of all the practices and she was the one that worked on the personal auto side of the agency and she had employed these practices herself under Michael's orders.  Interesting that she would blame everyone else there and forget herself.

Scot, quite frankly you can kiss my @ss buddy. Your company are a bunch of crooks. You know everything I said was true. As for your script, I could care less about your script, that script does not hold up in any courtroom which is evident why I was able to get my money back from the bank, because I was right, I never signed your credit card receipt so your company was obligated to refund my money. You cannot uphold the agreement, because the whole idea behind your business is false. That is why there are other people posting Rip off reports about your company. No one can simply just walk out of a lease or finance terms and hand the terms to someone else, they have to qualify for a loan and get their credit checked first, you never tell consumers this, which is why your company is deceptive. Your company posts ads of vehicles with monthly payments and other people are supposed to believe they will be paying those monthly payments if they decided to get the car, it is simply illogical. you are the unprofessional one, which is why you work for a bogus company like Swapalease.

Frank is correct that one of our sales representatives followed up with him in an effort to sell him on the services Swapalease.com has to offer after visiting our web site. Ultimately, Frank made the decision to purchase one of our service offerings as a result of our representative's efforts. He is also correct that we will be able to handle the necessary financing should a buyer be found for his vehicle as a result of the Swapalease.com program he selected. However, everything else stated in his posting is essentially not true. First, our sales representatives follow a script and process that helps ensure that clients and potential clients are not only treated fairly, but also consistently. It is part of our script to notify clients we have a no refund policy and this policy is reiterated via email, as well. Additionally, we make it clear that we are charging the client's credit card when the terms of the sale are agreed upon. His claim that Swapalease.com charged his card without his authorization is simply bogus and a maneuver to discredit our good reputation as evidenced by the fact his credit card information was provided to us. Second, we commonly follow up and communicate with clients via email and telephone. In this case, both email and phone calls have been exchanged with different company representatives. In fact, I have personally returned two calls to this individual in addition to the numerous ones handled by my colleagues. Said differently, Frank is not telling the truth regarding his claim we do not return phone calls. Third, following our stated and clearly outlined policies does not equate to poor customer service, rather it proves we take customer service seriously and that we understand the importance of doing so. Obviously, this client is not happy about the fact that he originally chose to ignore (giving him the benefit of the doubt over the more likely non-truth scenario) our no refund policy and that we are not willing to give him special treatment. Lastly, it is important to note that even though this Swapalease.com client has opted to not be accurate in his portrayal of his dealings with us and the fact he has expressed himself in a less than professional manner in his correspondence thus far, we will absolutely honor the terms of our agreement.
