Complaint Review: Swift Transportation - Memphis Tennessee

I know many of you people out there need jobs and willing to go to the depths of hell for one, but take my advise and dont go to Swift Trucking school. I am looking for people who went to Millington for their school and witnessed the 4 man hotel rooms, the herding to and fro the training area and the nonsensical classroom training you had to ebdure. The entire time in the 4 weeks of training I actually drove a truck was for about 45 minutes to an hour. The entire time was devoted to backing up which would have only taken me one full day of practice to pass in a truck on my own, but instead of having one full day on your own you have 2 or 3,  7 day weeks struggling to even get a chance to get into a truck and then having to switch with others every 15 to 20 minutes and get back in the truck 3 hours later forgetting what you did right or wrong the last time.

I had my Class A already so they basically just passed me in everything and gave me literally zero training, otherwise I would have gone straight to the orientation and saved myself 4400 dollars.

After I had completed my training I was sent with a dedicated driver mentor who did about a 6 to 8 hour run every 3 days. The truck was stationed in the middle of nowhere in Lake City next to a Huddle House. That was to be my new home while the mentor lived in a campsite with full amenities like "a shower". The truck broke down the first day so I was put up in a hotel for 8 days doing NOTHING- wasting time. Then it was back to the truck with no shower facilities and into the Huddle House to shave etc. (This was not a truck stop folks). Anyway I requested to be with someone over the road because at this rate I would not have my own truck for around 6 months and be in 100 degree weather with no shower.

I got with another trainer after waiting nearly 2 weeks this was by the direction of the driver MGR. She told me she was getting me a new mentor so I told my current mentor and he told me I had to leave now and then wrote that I couldnt drive unless I had a shower every 12 hours (lie).

The new mentor was a complete idiot, he told me his brother was in the CIA and killed people for a living and because I asked questions he couldnt answer he decided he was going to screw me. He drove me all the way from Atlanta to Memphis when I was supposed to be driving and then told me I didnt have the "basics" to drive a truck.

Now I am in debt 4400 with interest and kicked out because I didnt have the basics when I had a 95 in the school. I explained that I didnt have time to be thrown around like a rag doll and that my other bills were building up and could not go back to a school I already passed with flying colors. I know it was not because of my driving ability with either mentor, but when someone can use any excuse to dump you, they could do that to you forever. If a mentor claims that I dont have the Basics to drive a truck than Swift owes me money and not the other way around.
