Don, you complain about short paychecks, but you dont say how many miles you ran, how many driver advances you took, or how many trips you turned down that week. Now about that broken airline. If you had read your drivers manual you would have know that proper procedure was to 1st contact onroad about the airline to get the help you needed started to you. Then message your DM aout the problem. Calling him crying about a broken airline wasn't gonna help. HE'S IN SYRACUSE!!!! How is he gonna fix the trailer??? Notknowing particulars about the ld like p/u time, dlvry time . Icant say if you should have been taken off the ld or not you left that part out. I myself am real tired of drivers whining about not getting helped out of a problem, when so much of the time they can use some brain power and think there way out of it. So many times drivers are given that "big blue drivers manual" and the first thing they do with it when they get their truck is stuff it into some blackhole where it mysteriously disappears never to been seen again. Those manuals are for your benefit with tons of info if only you will read it. Now if you didn't take the truck to the place you were told to what choice did the company have??? After all they did tell you what would happen if you didn't. Did you think they were kidding??? After all maybe they had a driver get released at Harrisburg yard that needed a truck. Why is it that when drivers ask what do i do? When told choose not to do it, then cry OOOOHHHH you abused me you cheated me. No driver they didn't. They did exactly what they said they would. By the way not turning in a truck to the place designated by the owner of the truck is a reportable offense to DAC that other companies should be aware of that this driver cant read, and chooses not to do what he is instructed to do. I work at the Syracuse terminal and i know all of the people there. so you ain't foolin' me! I have been with swift for 7 1/2 years all out of Syracuse yard so i know if you will be resonable with them, they will be resonable with you. LCQR Trainer, and safety rep
