Hello my name is Jeff,

I'm a manager working for a multi-billion dollar corporation that is considered to be one of the most successful electronics firms in the country. One night I happened to look over to the right side of my screen and there was an advertisment for a top of the line laptop computer worth about $1,500 being auctioned off for approximately $158.

Of course this $158 laptop caught my attention so I finished what I was doing and I went to look into the website further. The website was somewhat simular to the Ebay website, so I continued to probe into it to see how it worked. Soon, I reached a point where I couldn't go any further unless I filled out an application and paid a small fee of about $10-12 dollars to join their club ( no option for a reciept was provided ), so I reluctantly provided them with my credit card information and I looked through the site a little more to see what they were auctioning but it was late and wanted to get some rest, so I turned off my computer and went to bed ( I never bid on anything, but I did notice that when the bidding process on items began to time out, they would add anywhere from 30 seconds to a few minutes more for reasons I didn't understand.) They say it's to give their customers more time to bid on the items they're selling, but we all know what they're trying to do here, they are trying to get people to bid higher for the merchandise so they can rip people off even more.

The next morning, I turned on my computer just like I do everyday and went straight to my banking webite site that I had used to charge the application fee to and low and behold there was a charge from swipebids for $150, not the small fee that I had originally agreed to. I immediately picked up the phone and called the number that was provided by my bank for the transaction and was told over and over again by a lady working for swipebids that there was nothing that I could do about it, while listening closely to some guy in the back ground with a New York accent yelling his head off at all of the customer service girls working there ordering them to tell everyone who was complaining that it was perfectly legal and if they didn't believe him to call his attorneys. I immediately called my bank and disputed the charges, told them that swipebids was ripping off me and everyone else that entered their website and something had to be done about this situation and the $150 charged to my account right away. I could tell that the girl didn't like what they were doing because she kept appologizing over and over again for what they were doing to me and everyone else and she was also speaking with a very low voice so she wouldn't be heard.

I talked to my bank again today and they returned the $150 dollars taken from my account pending the outcome of the investigation. So I told them about this website and if they wanted to see how many people where being ripped off by them to go to ripoffreport.com and see for themselves. They gave me another number to call so I could speak directly to the investigators. As I am sitting here writing this I just can't believe how greedy and hardup people are these days where they will think up a scam of this manitude and flat steal large amounts of money right off of everyones credit cards and call it legal ? I think this guys parents must have dropped him on his head or something when he was a baby, lol !

I'm calling family members who are Federal Agents, they will lock the morons up and lose the key, LOL !
